WateRR & K Sluggah - On My Square

Lucked out and snagged one of the last 8 remaining copies direct from the artist on this one. Another one of my favorite hip-hop releases of this year.

Ok, this happened on Facebook also. Obviously I'm gonna have to be more clear on who's birthday it is.

@Mateo & @ScoJo, the birthday wishes are always appreciated. :)

Yeah, I don't feel bad about that mistake at all. In fact, I'm doubling down. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YOUNG TIMOTHY!!

I haven't had a chance to listen to this yet but very excited to hear the remaster. Packaging is beautiful, I wish I could have afforded the fancy boxset but the 2LP version is all I really need

I've heard from a couple of hardcore P-fan pals that the remaster is a disaster. Interested to hear others reactions.

Curious to know why? I personally think the digital copy that has been on streaming services for the last few years is a fucking mess. I don't have an original copy on vinyl to compare it to but maybe I should probably get one, I assumed this one would be great as it seemed like 1999 was praised and it's the same person doing the remaster here.

What is this?
Roxy Music - Avalon Original 1982 Japanese pressing. Absolutely amazing clarity and pressing quality, but a really shallow low-end for some reason. https://www.discogs.com/Roxy-Music-Aval ... se/3006763

That Japanese pressing have no low end thing is hilarious.

Just got this in over the weekend and it's fantastic

Anti-Lilly & Phoniks - It's Nice Outside

This one is highly recommended to folks who enjoy A Tribe Called Quest and other jazz sample based hip hop. These guys nailed the sound with out feeling like a throwback. Great stuff.

F.U.C.K. yes, Tim. I shuffled the first eight VH albums on Tidal and played them all day at work today. RIP

@mateo, I never was a huge fan of Van Halen. And even though this is sacrileges to many, I prefer the Sammy years over the David years, which is what most of my collection of VH consists of. All that preface just to say that this is probably my favorite VH album. :)

Have had an original since back when people somehow thought this was a weak NIN album (what??). This "definitive edition" smashes it. One of those you can push as loud as you want and not get any distortion, highly recommended

I've heard the "definitive edition" sounds fantastic from a few different people. I should pick up a copy. Also I never understood people thinking it was a weak album, sure stacked up to The Fragile or Downward Spiral but then again most albums sound weak compare to them.
