I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread where people can mention good record shops/ online retailers that offer good service and selection.

I've got to go down south for a few weeks and thought wouldn't it be great if I knew some record shops down there!

Anyways, I'll start off by saying I've always had great service from Norman records online. Fair prices, friendly and efficient. Also in nottingham there is a small record shop called the music exchange which do a small selection of soundtracks (30ish at any one time) lots of DW stuff and put on an excellent RSD this year. Staff are friendly and the owner is a big fan of soundtracks and great to chat to.

Great idea for a thread Phil. I'm West Mids based and am popping up to Nottingham early next week to pick an amp up, are there any other good record shops (with soundtrack collections), besides Music Exchange, to visit while I'm there?

If anyone is in the Warwickshire / West Mids area I'd recommend the following:

Purple Vinyl (stratford upon avon + discogs shop) - Martin is a great guy, really passionate and all his records are in superb condition.

Head - Leamington Spa

Vinyl Destination - Coventry

Milque & Muhle, Urban Village, The Diskery, Swordfish Records, Polar Bear - all Brum

If you have the time check out Langley Mill Records which is about 5 miles out of town. Often has a good selection and if you are lucky you can pick up some bargains.
