I had seen his release mentioned in another thread but thought they deserved their own thread. I just discovered this release and ordered a copy on Discogs. Apparently they just reissued it sometime this year, not sure if it was expensive before but people are selling it for $20 now. I haven't checked out their other albums, what are they like, similar to this release?

Their first album, A Land For Renegades, is amazing. I've been in love with it for years.

From there they really become less centered around vintage horror synth music and are just more of a live electronic band. They're never aggressive or prog like Zombi, they definitely have their own style. They're a great, awesome band and I would suggest all their albums.
Also, Etienne Jaumet has a solo album called Night Music. It is incredibly great, John Carpenter style mixed with electronic sax, all created under krautrock influence. It is beautiful music.

Yeah, gang, once again (goddammit) I'm with ghostfires here. I love their stuff and Jaumet's solo record is fucking stunning (several nods to Vangelis' Blade Runner to my ear). I believe I have all their collective releases on vinyl, but I picked up an extra copy of the Carpenter repress just to be on the safe side. Also picked up the new Jaumet/Richard Pinhas 12" at the same time and it's well worth your time. Look for their new record in May, I believe. Apparently it's a score. Cheers!

Hey! Thanks for the compliment! I started following you as well. I definitely like the pics of synths. I'm having several of mine repaired right now, it's always cool to see what's inside.
@mateo - haha, hate to be on the same side as me huh! How is that 12" Jaumet did with Pinhas? It's a little expensive to order from the UK and have shipped, I wasn't sure it was worth it for two tracks...

@ghostfires - Nah, you know I'm just fucking around. The 12" is really solid. Here's a LINK to it being performed live, but it doesn't really do it justice. I'd expect a digital release to follow soon enough. They usually do.

Saw them play a show with Alan Howarth a few years back at Unsound Festival in Krakow. Footage here from about the 2 minute mark. It was an amazing show

Not quite a fan of the noisy sections of the soundtrack previews, but the musical portions definitely sound like ZZ. I will definitely be ordering that to give it a full listen. Thanks for the link zuko!
In regards to the repress of Zombie Zombie Plays John Carpenter - can anyone say if there is something different to the repress from the original? Any new artwork or a vinyl color or any tracks added? Just making sure I'm not missing out on something I'd regret not figuring out before they're gone!

I've got the repress at home, it's black vinyl and same five tracks – couldn't tell you if there was anything else different without closer inspection, but I think you're probably safe!
