Last week Tom Holkenborg was a guest on a Dutch television show to promote the movie Brimstone for which he made the score.
Brimstone is a Dutch western set somewhere in the States. More info about the movie: http://www.brimstonethemovie.com/
Starring Guy Pierce among others.

The director first wanted Howard Shore to create the score, however this never happened. After seeing the movie Black Mass the director wanted Tom to do the score.

Tom Holkenborg was explaining how he was influenced by an organ piece from Bach: Passacaglia in C minor when creating this score. He always wanted to do something with this piece from Bach, but in previous scores there never was a place for it. For this movie he was allowed take the classic music route and use this Bach piece as a leitmotiv for the score.
He told an amusing story about how he acquired an organ. After having drunk some white wine he went onto eBay and found an 26 foot tall organ for $900. However he didn't notice that it was local pickup only. He lives in LA and the organ was situated in Portland. After arranging transport he had it installed in his house. HIs wive was not amused. After nine months he put the organ in storage. Attempts to sell it were unsuccessful, nobody wants it.
The music was recorded in Brussel by an orchestra under direction by Gavin Greenaway.

Milan is releasing this on CD and digital. I am assuming a vinyl release is coming.
