Ulysse 31 Japanese OST, by Kei Wakakusa

I've never heard this but I love this cover. I want it based on that alone

@inks Ulysse 31, like many with battle of the planets, this was my first , unknowing, introduction to anime. I was big fan as a 6, 7 or 8 year old. Technically half anime, as it was a french-japanese collaboration. However the Japanese ost is completely different from the european score. It's a rare and pricey record. it's great, but demands a high price, due to collectors and rarity over the music IMO, but like I said still a great listen, electronic, and surprisingly dark in places.

Kaori Kumiko Best Hit.
Collection of Kaori's vocal numbers for a selection of animes. A few nice peices on here, like her songs for Harlock and GE999, and the "song magical night" from the hard to find score to "the super girl".

Awesome shares Matt as always, i still miss that Terrahawks Lp, these Victor JBX are so good.
i want to complete that catalogue but the road is long and winding, too many pieces are not easily found.
About Ulysse 31, one of the most expensive anime record. for my taste though, not that cool (because i'm not a big fan of pure electronic BGM).
the french version as you said is incredibly groovy and well played. absolutely recommended
there is also the french version of Les Mystérieuses Cités D'Or, unfortunately BGM aren't available on Lp. again awesome european music
here the japanese version:
Nobuyoshi Koshibe & Katsuo Ohno - taiyo no ko esteban OST vol 1 & 2 OST
Starchild K22G-7099 / K22G-7127
then, there is the german version of Captain Future by Christian Bruhn. both original press and repress of that ost are expensive.
really funny, music is disco funk but i wouldn't spend 200 euros for those records.
here the famous japanese version (one of the best BGM):

sought-after record, i was afraid it was bad but it is an excellent experience. really good & groovy
this record is magical, probably the first BGM on vinyl, printed in 1973. i have never seen the obi but i do not exclude it may exist.
music is splendid, in my top ten for sure
Bob Sakuma - Bouken Colobockle OST
King SKM(H)-2159

@elifunk Beautiful records!
I thought you might throw up those mysterious city of Gold LPs, I'm still missing those. I know some here have the Euro scores on LP. I really want to grab that Ulysse 31 french score too.
Nice going with Nagareboshi Gin, that one seems very sought after, and that Bob Sakuma LP is new to me.

Was playing this one today. Some of these 'BGM' on columbia are so good, and also can be got cheap.

there is a 2020 australian repress of this lp. i've no idea why!
i mean, the record is very nice. but the og was always available at fair prices, so why?
that labels also did a repress of Symphonic Suite Space Pirate Captain Harlock ahah.
Glad to finally add this long time want to my collection, another Katsuhisa Hattori funk grail.

awesome Matt. these Hattori records are increasingly difficult to find.
i'm glad some copies are still arriving in Europe, even though i assume you bought it in Japan.

@elifunk, yes, from YJA. I still don't have horizon of happiness but that record has gone from stupid to ridiculous prices recently.

the recent story behind ' horizon of happiness' is crazy.
it was the most unknown Hattori's record, but last two years there was an absurd hype around it.
i had 3 copies of that lp, i sold one, ironically, to a Japanese collector, for 600 euros.
then i sold the second copy to an American for 800 euros.
the same collector bought his second copy immediately after on YJA for 120.000 yen in an auction to the death against some Chinese spendthrift.
it was funny to see.
then Muro has reissued the 45'' recently riding the wave.
at this point i also foresee a complete reprint of the LP.

Haha, cray story @eli. I had passed on it a few years ago when it was cheaper. It's a great record but I prefer Criminal brothers and the Edo no kaze records. A lot of the 70s80s soul boogie/city pop Japanese stuff goes for crazy money.
I'll be Holding out for that reissue 😁

i agree Matt, his samurai\police OSTs are way better.
however, you can find now an auction on YJA if you want to try.
i hate that kind of auctions, too many eyes on them.

i waited a long time to find this soundtrack.
I had lost an auction last year and miraculously managed to find it in a horrible online Japanese shop that didn't even show the cover and conditions asking 5000yen.
luckily it's almost perfect
Wow @eli that Xanadu Dragon Slayer score looks amazing. The artwork is so good, especially on the back

@inksb really!
oddity: that Xanadu LP is my first 1988 anime record.
i have never collected anything so 'recent'

Redline
While I think this film is really great, the score as a standalone piece is not something I will likely listen to very much. It's very in your face a lot. But I'm a Tiger Lab completionist so I bought it anyways. Nice package as usual

I will check out the movie!
looking for Redline from 2009 I found a Redline from 2007 with this a plot:
A gorgeous young automobile fanatic--and front to the hottest unsigned band on the West coast--finds herself caught up in illegal drag-racing competitions organized by exotic car fanatics.
