Terror Vision has really fun practical effects but I would say it's the weakest out of the 3 films, maybe slightly better than Troll? Ghoulies is by far the superior film out of the three. I really should pick up the ost's for these films though.

I randomly watched Troll when I was a young kid at a friend's house. I remember being both fascinated and bit freaked out by the transformation scene. Some of the humor was probably over my head. I think I saw Ghoulies as well, but I remember The Gate more vividly.

Paul Zaza - Curtains

This is a great little score, I haven't seen the film so it was a blind buy. Really enjoyed it. Pressing seems pretty good, side A had maybe one pop that will probably go away after a cleaning. Side B had some noise but it was pretty quiet and could be non existent after a cleaning. I'll update once I get around to it

In a big win for perseverance today, not only did I manage to drastically reduce the crackle on my Koyaanisqatsi by multiple cleans and plays, I also flattened my Frizzi enough so that it plays again without issue :) I love this record so much! It may just be one of the best albums I've heard this year.

Great score - if anybody hasn't yet seen the movie, can't recommend enough. Early Verhoeven in perverse Hitchcock thriller mode, it's a blast!

My wife has been wanting to check that film out as it recently hit Shudder. How's the score @reddye?

I like it a lot; it's going on my 2022-favorites list. It's minimalist chamber music but also has some similarities to Cliff Martinez' "Solaris" score both with pacing and the use of chiming percussion. It emotes feelings of unease and melancholy much in the same ways as a Ben Salisbury/Geoff Barrow score does. There are no stingers or amped-up cues, like there would be for a chase scene. Really sounds nice.

The label's US store now has copies available (https://svart.ochre.store/release/30705 ... soundtrack). Otherwise, its Finnish store has copies (https://svartrecords.com/en/product/pes ... k-/1677633).

Thanks! Looks like they are also releasing Let The Right One In. I need to revisit that score, I remember it being quite effective during the film but it's been ages.
