I have been absolutely swamped with work and sorting through a huge collection of OG 70s punk that I inherited (5 milkcrates full!) so I have barely had time to catch my breath and listen to some records.

Finally had a few minutes to spin this.
Nice mastering but the pressing could be quieter.

Someone posted this during a 30 Days of Halloween soundtracks twitter thread, and I immediately had to track it down - unofficial white label (pressing quantity unknown), trailers from grindhouse/horror classics!

As is my way, I'm going to make a proper sleeve for it :)

Did folks sleeve on this a bit, last RSD? It's phenomenal, another great Jon Brion score for a Kaufman film (only just beaten out by the Eternal Sunshine score which is magical..)

I finally was able to get a copy of this soundtrack at a fair price. I grabbed it from Juno for $32 plus $15 shipping. Which is way better than direct from Invada which came out to something like $78. It's probably my favorite soundtrack of the year. Pressing is quite good, jacket is really nice. It's a shame that Hulu/FX made them slap that logo all over the release. The colors clash so much.



Gatefold is really nice



And I'm really happy to have this soundtrack finally. I can't believe it took them over a year to release this.

So my 4K Dawn box set from Second Sight arrived today. Can‘t tell you all how excited I am about this - it‘s one of my all time favourite films, regardless of genre. I’ve owned it on VHS, Laserdisc and DVD, and was waiting for a properere/definitive blu ray release (THIS) for years. Will be digging into the box and watch the Romero cut plus some of the special features next weekend as I want to spend some quality time with it. So now spinning in anticipation:
