Chinatown

It’s ridiculous that he was able to come up with this music in only a few weeks. He was the greatest.

@inksb I looooove this version.
I’m glad the Waxwork is more complete, but the remix really misses the mark in a lot of ways. There are some effects (delays, reverbs, etc) that they didn’t replicate properly on the Waxwork.

I want this version so bad. That artwork is so simple and classic.
I got the blood splattered cake Waxwork varient but more often than not I pull this original VS to spin

Is Waxwork's expanded or is it the same track list with fancier packaging?

Waxwork’s is very expanded and the whole thing is a remix from the original multi-track tapes (same as Waxwork’s Day of the Dead).

Personally, I’m always going to want to hear a 1982 mix of a record made in 1982, where everything was unquestionably done analogue.

I don’t mind the remix and I’m thankful for all of the additional cues, but more often than not, I reach for the Varèse.

Oh, and there’s a mastering error on the first Waxwork press: track A18 is actually just a repeat of A1 instead.

I think we have all waited long enough for Creepshow to get the 'Comparison Corner' treatment, don't you?

I'll set to it later today. ;-)

Also in my sights is a comparison of Rosemary's Baby which I've been planning to do for a hella long time.
