Evening spin. Been a while since I pulled this one out. Patucchi is really solid, I wasn’t familiar with his work until I entered this fine place here some years ago (think it was a deep cut post by Spencer where he praised this album). Of the Pattucchis I own/know this is my favorite.

Nice one @Chris! I almost bought a copy at one point but the music didn’t capture me as much as I thought it would to justify the price of an OG.
But it is still a record I want to add to the collection at one point.

Now playing:

Fair point, Bez. The music is a bit eclectic/all over the place with some beautiful moody pieces and then some upbeat, pretty crazy and cheesy stuff (one track is basically circus music another one is blatantly ripping off Blade Runner) - but I have come to like that, it's his style as also can be heard e.g. on "Turbo Time" (which is great btw and far more affordable than "Violenza").

And it's not even a choice coming from me, the OBI is an insert that folds over the right side

So you have to insert it in the cover from the right

Had no idea. Just bought a copy. Thanks bud!
A really great 2000s Zimmer.

I enjoy this film and rewatch often, against all odds. It’s the same level of adorable Ridley goofiness as The Counselor (MASSIVELY misunderstood and underrated), another of his that I return to over and over for the pure whacked out R-rated joy of it all. Not for nothing, his writers on those two were David Mamet and Cormac fucking Mcarthy. Put it in my veins.

Never heard of "The Counselor" but I should probably catch up on watching some of the R.Scott I haven't seen. I'll add it to the list.

Going to finish my Ridley Scott movie score marathon from yesterday with the remaining 2 titles I have.

Yeah do it. I feel like it's a bit underrated. When I put it back on the turntable I usually feel like it's better than I remembered.
