I should revisit this movie. First and only time I watched it I didn’t really care a lot about it.
Score is fantastic though.

That a pretty special one and not everyone likes it. Kind of like „Who saw her die“ but not with a children’s choir and more religious undertones. I think it‘s very unique but need to be in the right mood when listening to it, not a Morricone I pull out regularly.

I'm a fan of this one and dont spin it enough. If you like the classical religious piece 'dies irae' you will probably like it. the roundtable reissue is solid too!

I remember @scojo and TG did a podcast dedicated Dies Irae, pretty sure they mentioned this record.

2019 After the Fall of NY
Amuck!

Love that they plastered Barbara all over Amuck. The way it should be. They kept it pretty safe though, no nude shots. Always enjoyed this score when I watched the film, glad to have a pressing of it.

2019 AtFoNY is really fun. Nothing I would classify as a must own but very enjoyable.

Picked this up last week. Really surprised these are still available. I've never seen the film but it's a great score

Nice one. That has been on my want list since it came out. I don't think I have seen the movie either.

Yes, The Entity is a fine score, also sounding great - they did a very good job with it (don't know if the faux Japanese look and feel was needed but whatever). The film is excellent, although not in a typical 80ties (studio) horror movie way in terms of entertainment value. I rewatched it last year and found it still to be very effective, creepy, a bit unpleasant but in any case captivating.

Agreed on all fronts @Chris. It's a really interesting and genuinely upsetting 'horror', with a pretty weird and unsatisfying final act... the 'science' at the end is urm... wonky to say the least :)

I do agree, didn't need the faux-Jap sleeve design. It's part of a general 'make it look Japanese for the sake of it' thing that's become BIG during the vinyl ost revival. Like folks throwing OBIs around hither and thither, willy nilly, pfft... whatever! I blame DW.*

Your occasional reminder that Beat Ball are straight-reissuing STRIDULUM in the OG sleeve. Goddam right.
Yes, while spinning this I was thinking about that but I forgot the specifics. I have yet to buy a single piece of wax this year...
At the moment I cannot be bothered spending money on pre-orders with a 6 month or longer waiting time. It is the perfect time for me to get out of debt that I accumulated by pretending I had fuck-you-money :-D
