How is that one @nathan? I almost bought it at one point but wasn't sure if it was worth a blind buy.

This is Frizzi with his current band going into the studio and recording the full Composer's Cut. The sample track on Birth.Death. Movies sounded fantastic. I can't wait to get my copy.

After all, some of their releases give a weaker overall impression. Notturno is nice. It's a bit jazzy, city/crime rock, with melancholic piano ballads, quite a bit of sax and sparks of synth melodies. On the first, main title track, at 0:22 there's totally a Dawn of the Dead reference, followed by a James Bond melody. weird. I think it doesn't have the really good hooks of their horror soundtrack, but it's overall very nice. It's a bit on their more melancholic progrock side.

I wish I had grabbed it, if my memory is serving me correctly I passed on it because the record store was charging an extra $10 more than what I had seen it online.inksb wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 12:37 am How is that one @nathan? the main deterrent is that I think everyone who bought it agrees it's a bit of a noisy pressing. I can listen to it and it doesn't bother me but the noise floor is noticeable.

I do love the score and every once in a while I think about getting it. LIke you I keep hoping it will get a vinyl release from them or maybe lalaland, since they've been putting out alot of Williams on double lp.
The recent VS expanded CD is also superb and I can’t recommend it enough. Wish they’d put it on vinyl.
