why this great, Oscar winning score hasn't been issued on vinyl? What do you think?

I thought I read somewhere that Music On Vinyl would be doing it but I can't find anything about it anywhere.

So I sent e-mail to MOV today and asked, but no, they are not releasing it. Is it really that hard to acquire rights from the majors or what may be the reason?

It’s not all about rights, the majors are flooding the presses with totally pointless reissues so if they have a list then it might just be low down... then again it could be subject to bidding from Milan, Mondo, Varese. I guess we have to be patient

Decca released cd of this. It can be that with such big company involved, pressing´2000 units doesn't create enough turnover, so why bother...

I haven't gotten it yet, it's on the list, but I've seen a few posts on Facebook groups and the general feeling is people are glad it's finally out and very happy with it.
