It's really enjoyable! A bit of spooky and a bit of goofy but a fun listen overall.

I quite enjoyed the Stolen Identity soundtrack. There was a mash of different kinds of music throughout the score, but it all worked as a whole. There was music that sounded like it lifted a theme from Super Mario, tense electronic textures, Hawaiian luau music, Japanese drumming, Hawaiian luau and Japanese drumming in the same song, lonely guitar Americana ambient -- all thrown in and all working.

How interesting - did he really compose music for all those films?

Technically, yes. However, not all compositions are equal on this CD.

The CD has 17 tracks, and 11 of them are for "Arcade." "The Beastmaster" has one track, which he composed originally for the trailer but was never used. One track for "Battle Beyond the Stars," and it was used for the night club scene. One track from the TV anthology series "Monsters." Finally, three tracks from "The Osterman Weekend"; one track was used in the film, one track is made up of stingers that he composed for the film, and one track was unused.

So, this CD is really "Arcade" and leftovers.

Interesting indeed! Thanks Red. I’d love to hear some AH solo work that convinces me he had any more than an ‘engineering’ role in the Carpenter collab. I haven’t yet.

I want to be present in the onanistic overdrive that Spin has taken with recurring photos of self-produced and distributed bootlegs.😀
Only on CD and the only existing copy!

I just posted a short video on Instagram showing the front cover while a track plays in the background.
Only a fool like me could think of recreating all the film versions. Cinevox has put on line a compilation titled Wampyr but it includes only the tracks taken from Roller and Mark. In the film these tracks are edited differently. No film version matches the original track on the album.

Ah interesting… it’s coming back to me now. So the title track was the only piece written specifically for the film?

It's called Finale and comments on the sequence in which Cuda plants a stake in Martin's heart, the track 24 of my CD. In the film this track is shortened and flows into Notte (from Mark), in a differently edited version (track 23 in my CD).
Studying the film versions I appreciated the work done by the Italian editor of Martin to adapt the pre-existing tracks to the film sequences. I enjoyed re-building the pieces the same way.
Unfortunately my version of the Wampyr score will never be approved by Cinevox. AMS would like to release a Wampyr album but it will basically be a useless anthology of songs from Roller and Mark il bagarozzo. AMS asked if Cinevox had at least the Jodepres songs Strange Terminal and Royal Road and they replied that they can't find them. They didn't even know these songs existed ...
