Yas-Kaz soundtrack for "Red Snow." I know nothing about the film other than it's a murder mystery. Soundtrack is this echoing, chiming, ominous, percussive thing. Really digging it so far.

Now there is a song that sounds like it's mainly jaw harp.

I didn't know anything about Yas-Kaz before picking this up. I'm going to have to explore other releases of his.

Still loving this one. I listen to the original OST multiple times a year, and the expanded score is an interesting experience so far. I have listened to the original so many times that it's a bit disconcerting for me to hear additional and expanded versions of tracks, but the pace feels more relaxed with some nice breathing room between the steady clip of bombastic numbers from Kilar. The real treat is some of the lovely themes for strings being reprised in different arrangements. As much as I enjoy the thunderous brass and choir numbers, it's the the strings, keys, and harp that really get me overall.

Recently picked this up on CD (didn't know Dual Planet had released CDs). Interestingly, had an OBI with Spencer's blurb, and artwork still has Side A and Side B on it.

Last week my girlfriend gifted me one of those Sony noice-cancelling headphones. I cannot stand earbuds as they lead to ear infections and I haven't been listening to music when at work for ages. But now I can again. And I cannot hear the idiots around me anymore. Even bigger plus.

Anyways, I am listening to Surf Nazis Must Die as we speak. It is an incredibly good score. For some reason I never got the vinyl version. But this digital one makes me happy nonetheless.
