But be aware that they supposedly ran into some issue with the second pressing of the Nine Postcards reissue. Several people complained about constant surface noise on the album which of course is especially annoying given the very quiet nature of the music. I read that not the entire batch is affected, though. They have a replacement program but it might anyway make sense to buy from somewhere where it‘s easy to return the LP if necessary. I ordered from hhv, the second one I got sounds great.
Pier & Loft (which was re-issued by another label than Postcards) is among the best sounding pressings I own.
Appreciate the intel, @Chris - might go with an 'as new' / minimally played copy so that I can check with seller that it's all skookum ;)

Got this sent to me in error by Invada and ended up keeping it (with permission!). A pleasant surprise.

College are actually a pretty fun band. I've not heard that particular record, though.

I defer to deaf on all things frizzi, but I would pick that up for sure. I was initially not a huge fan of that score, it never really did it for me, but after seeing him perform parts of it in his live set, something clicked.

More frizzi is still not enough frizzi

I think it will depend on how much this specific theme grabs your brain:

This unreleased theme is the highlight for me, and shows up in various lengths and mixes throughout the album in classic Frizzi style. I really enjoy the axe wailing on these cuts, as it seems to really inform where he has ended up with the Frizzi 2 Fulci concerts. Additionally, the main A Cat in the Brain theme is also presented in a few extra variations; from incredibly spaced-out reverb-soaked plodding to a double- (or triple?) time thrashing. I enjoy how the repeated theme variations wash over you and build cohesion, as the original soundtrack album has some abrupt digressions to the blues theme and the track from The Beyond (from the film set scene). If the previous album did not keep your interest with all the variations of the main theme, then this one is probably better left to the completists and obsessives. ;)

Listening to the mp3s of Vince Pope's "Be Right Back" soundtrack. I don't know why this hasn't been given a proper physical release. it's quite beautiful and moody.

Thanks for the comprehensive and considered overview @Deaf - was slightly perturbed by the pan pipes at the beginning of that track but take your point about the axe wailing reflecting his more muscular live band performances :)

Looking forward to the Lakeshore release of his score to 'The Littlest Reich' on vinyl. Hearing some familiar Frizzi signatures: https://fabiofrizzi.bandcamp.com/album/ ... soundtrack

@deaf - Shipping was extra, but the unit price was less than the £8.00 listed... probably subtracting VAT after I filled in my U.S. address.

Mine was a little less than $20 shipped. Great, great show.
