Hi Corvino

The two London record stores you want to hit up (that have the best selection of new soundtracks in my humble opinion) are Sister Ray on Berwick Street (just off Oxford Street, central London) and Rough Trade East, just off Brick Lane, East London.

Berwick Street also has the likes of Reckless Records for secondhand stuff (not a massive soundtrack selection but occasionally you may strike lucky)plus, just off the main drag, Phonica Records (which also has electronic & exotica), Sounds of the Universe (small but seemingly growing soundtrack selection) and a cool little recent discovery of mine - IF Music - slap bang between Sister Ray and Phonica, that you need to be be buzzed in to visit and go up an anonymous looking flight of stairs, a bit like record shopping in Japan (it seems well stocked for recent tricky to find library releases):

Of course if you don't mind catching a train out of St Pancras or Victoria then of course head down to Margate and say hi to Transmission.

Also take a look here which should give you a good general idea:

Would love to hear if anyone else has recommendations for decent locations for picking up secondhand scores in London.

Neat thread @Corvino and good advice from @Spun.

I second Sister Ray, great selection and friendly staff too. Always one of my first stops when I hit the Capital.
