Did the last topic disappear?

Anyway. This soundtrack compilation...

... is for sale through this KissKissBankBank LINK. It's a bit NSFW.

It's actually Alain Goraguer's unreleased music to some French porn films.

Thanks phantom, curious as to what the tracks on the lp are like, hope it's the music featured in the clip, sounded awesome but I may have been swayed by the visuals.
fingers crossed for a retail release, not paying 85 euro, which seems to be the cheapest way to get the vinyl from the kickstarter.

the third youtube clip, STARKERS! lol

Damn - Goraguer! I'll have my fingers (and legs!) crossed for this getting a further release after the project goes ahead :D

The music in that trailer is insanely good!

Some very NSFW sound mixes (from wobbly VHS tapes no doubt!)

As much as I love a lot of Goraguer's work, and was initially tempted to say 'fuckit' and go for the limited vinyl reward this just isn't for me really - I probably have as much Euro cheese as I need from the 70s to be quite honest!

Hopefully they'll make the music available digitally after the book release, I'd definitely like to hear more. And there's nowhere near enough of Goraguer's work out there. Check this out, a stone stomper - like a badass outtake from Planete Sauvage:

@Scojo

did you check the soundcloud links I put up? I saw the links you posted and had similar thoughts to yourself, but imo the soundcloud clips are on another level, two of the tracks anyway.

@Dollar - ahh, I thought it was just the one track, I'll definitely go back and have another listen.

Don't get me wrong, it's cool stuff - I just prefer Goraguer's weird funk breaks to the more straight cheesy porn stuff I think! ;)

@Scojo

I hear you, maybe I'm trying to make myself feel better for still not owning planete sauvage on vinyl. anyway I would be very surprised if this doesn't eventually get a proper retail release somewhere along the line.

@Dollar

Yeah I'd be surprised too! Might have to wait a while though...can maybe catch up on those movies in the meantime ;)

You really owe it to yourself to pick up La Planete Sauvage sir, in any format. It's just the best. And then you can have fun spotting all the guys who've sampled it over the years!

Sorry to derail your chat guys. I've been thinking about this a bit, should we just list new releases as there own dedicated threads to allow specific chat, or do people prefer to keep it all under one roof as we currently do?

I've had the cd from the early 2000's, it's a cracking score, and a cracking animation to boot!
On a side note the rene laloux film 'marquis' proper weird!!! thats all im saying. (a bit nsfw if you google it).

The Superior Viaduct release of Planete Sauvage is top notch quality. Correct yourself, sir!

@zuko : I prefer this thread this way. If we feel compelled to branch into a discussion, then we can start a new thread for a particular artist or release, but this way, all initial announcements can show up here, relatively organized.

So, this label who did the "Ecstasy of Gold" compilations have done 2 releases titled "Library of sound grooves". One on Jazz in italian cinema and one on obscure psychedelic in italian cinema. Anyone knew about this ? Seems pretty good. I stumbled on this while shopping Juno for the latest Giallo Disco.

Nathan I got both of these comps, I am way more into the psych one, but I have listened to them both a few times each. Artwork for both is solid.
