I’ve got pre orders of 2 and 3 at amoeba, hoping that pans out since I had to pay after market for vol 1 already. Nuts

As an aside, if you are also like me and completely slept on preorders for Vol 1, you're probably equally as frustrated as me at not being able to get a copy. Even my Vol 2 'preorder' shows no signs of shipping. Wish it had been clear how limited they'd be, that they seem to have been US only at retail, or if there is going to be a repress. I am not paying $80 plus shipping to flippers for a $25 record! Does anyone here know more about availability?
I ordered Vol 1 a while ago from acoustic sounds. It was supposed to be delivered last month. I wrote them recently, they said they were waiting on the distro and my order did mean I will get a copy once their stock arrives. So it appears there are some vol 1 coming still. Unclear who will get them and how many unspoken for copies will appear.

My assumption was that they'd press like 25,000 of these minimum, but that might have been wrong. Or they just got delayed. who knows.

I ordered all three volumes in one order on Amazon a day or so after the pre-order went live. I have received the first LP so far, but the second has been delayed. I'm hoping that they are just going to ship Vol. 2 and 3 together.

Part 3 arrives today from Amazon for me. Hopefully it arrives safely. Vol. 1 arrived with a ding, part 2 with a seam split. And I can't return them as they haven't had them in stock since I pre-ordered a couple months ago.

Just a heads up for those in the US, Steve Moore's score to Bliss has dropped to $17 pre-order price on Amazon. In case you haven't ordered it yet

That's great to hear, I'll be picking that up and the new Akiko album too. Although Gohan Ga Dekitayo isn't that hard to find in good condition for pretty cheap so I'll have to weigh out my options price wise before I purchase that one.

Holy Fuck. Is We Want Sounds related to WRWTFWW? If so, I'm cautiously, very optimistic.

I have a few of the Akiko Yano albums and Yukihiro Takahashi, they all sound great. Clean pressings with no flaws as far as I can tell. Mastering sounds good on them too. I will be picking up Sakamoto's debut album in the next month or so as well, just haven't had the time yet.

Just bought Porco Rosso. Ordering from HMV Japan was way cheaper than from most stores importing the records!

What was the price? and how much was the shipping? I tried to order an LP through them in the past and had to create some weird account through a third party and then I just gave up.

The last lot of Ghibli reissues were available through Amazon Japan. You can use your domestic account to order through it. What's good if you do (or at least it happened to me) they calculate the import duty and you pay that at order. Which means no extortionate handling fees and your parcel being retained, obviously you still pay the extra tax.
Don't know if the same can be done with these, I know they are up for pre order at mandarake for ¥3800

If like the last batch of Ghibli reissues there will be a ton of them floating around on discogs and the like. I have an og Kiki ost but need to hear the others

Amazon Japan didn't let me buy this for some reason. Total cost from HMV is around 48 euros (I live in France). Amazon France is selling it for around 66 euros without postage. I didn't have to create an account.

Morricone Youth have a new release scheduled for this year's Record Store Day: them performing the soundtrack to "The Last Porno Show." However, you can pre-order it directly from them and have it delivered before RSD. LINK

Tidbeats is a play on the word tidbits. Those that lay, forgotten, in the vault of Cinevox Record are truly “delicious morsels”: original tracks by Stelvio Cipriani, Francesco De Masi, Piero Umiliani, Gianni Ferrio, Giorgio Gaslini, Riz Ortolani, Armando Trovajoli, Piero Piccioni and many other great masters of the Italian soundtrack. Treasures searched for, discovered and restored in a unique score by Alessio Santoni, over two years of uninterrupted seclusion between the shelves of Cinevox and the recording studios of Trafalgar Studios.

It resulted in a surprising sound mosaic composed of 161 unheard-of takes, for a total of over two hours of listening, embellished here and there by unexpected cameos: sometimes, between one song and another, indications to the musicians from the composers, captured on the original Studer tracks.

A rigorous philological endeavor and at the same time a very attentive work of mixing tone and rhythm. Themes, variants, detachments, interludes handled like precious fragments of a collective dream recomposed, elements of the viaticum for a new musical pilgrimage along the golden age of Italian cinema.

The work, produced by Carlo Bagnolo for Cinevox Record, with the executive collaboration of AMS Records, is entrusted to the Milan-based distribution company BTF.

Tidbeats is also available, as a very limited edition, in a luxury box of four vinyls.
