This one has some awesome nes game themes. Goonies II, Kid Icarus, Tetris, DuckTales, punch out and a bunch of others.

Did Anyone else play that goonies II game? I loved it even though it was really fucking cryptic and hard as a kid. And honestly I doubt I'd even get as far today. I have no idea how I figured some of that stuff with the byzantine mazes and secrets.

I've been reading this series of books called NES Works which gives the history of NES games released in the US. Very interesting insight to some of those old titles.

Current state of the VGM collection minus box sets. I wonder what's bigger now the non-italian OSTs or the video game stuff.

maybe some day someone will put out a coffee table book charting the unlikely history of fan made video game records, it is crazy to think 90% of these are little passion projects.

Even a majority of the official releases come from people that wanted to make passion projects. Data Discs, Ship to Shore and others are very small teams of just a few people. In fact some of those big elaborate boots are worked on by more people than official releases.

What's the big black release a few to the left of DKC?

No doubt! and mondo has put out some killer stuff too like the silent hill and especially all the castlevania stuff. Ship to shore gradius 3, mother 2 and snatcher are classics. I miss my data disc collection I sold the whole thing as a lot a couple years back to clear some bills. Their label aesthetic is the best.

The big one is the slip cover for diablo 2.

This wonderful soundtrack finally landed after STS sent me the wrong one first. The score is so good, I'm not sure what they were thinking with the covers though, it's a cool idea that they all link together similar to their Gradius release but the artwork looks like it was done by 14 year old art student with an ipad. It's flat, perspectives are off and it looks like some one who doesn't know how to draw manga attempting to draw manga.

Managed to get my hands on this for cheap last week. This is a fun one. Now with the new release of the original Start Fox maybe I'll be able to get a copy of that at a reasonable price (probably not though lol)

The new star fox boot has decent reviews and includes some arranged tracks as the main draw. It was really expensive, I think $70. That star fox 2 is a killer release and sounds good, nice pickup!

Someone just bought my Portal soundtrack for $200. I didn't know people were offering that much. Going to pack it up this weekend.

First Genesis game I played. My cousin had Altered Beast, Sonic and Road Rash. We played the hell out of Altered Beast, it's still one of my favorite Genesis games. And that score is so good.
