fresh in and it is the very best release in my tiny VGM collection. one of the coolest games from my childhood. so glad to have it. well done!

sound of this record is audiophile quality. super fancy and dead quiet 180g 2LP perssing and the mastering of this is crisp and sharp as hell.

soundtrack itself is something i would describe as digital psych-xotica ambient. so bizarre. so lovely.

i got multiple copies of this located in Europe. anyone who is interested, can PM me...

Nice to see that one out there finally. I did not order a copy but the music is quite interesting. I introduced my wife to that game about 5 years ago and it's all she did for an entire weekend.

That sleeve art - Peter Bagge, or a clever clone?

Will have to check that out, not familiar with the game.

I wasn't sure about this waterworld LP at the time. It came from a country with punishingly expensive shipping, so it cost almost $80 which is a ton of dough for a boot. But I'll be damned if it isn't one of the best vgm records I have.

This beauty just arrived. Very excited that I was able to pick this up, I have 2 and was sad to see others posting 3 thinking I wouldn't be able buy a copy but the label was kind enough to open up sales to their IG followers outside of the private FB group.

The dkc trilogy turned out great. I am glad the label did a second run of dkc3 the first went really quickly

Going with some chrono trigger this (very) cold morning. Current temp is 7F, wind chill -13 and a half foot of powdery snow. I've lived here my whole life, this is pretty wild weather here

Did anyone ever do another run of DKC? I know Moonshake released one back in 2017 but did any one do a new pressing?

Not vinyl but pretty excited to have this OST as it's a great one.

Hoping it gets a vinyl release at some point but it'll be expensive, 4-5 lps to cover the 3 hours of music.

I'm sure there's someone bold enough to do it!

Got this in the mail. I was just a couple of minutes late and they were gone so had to snag one from an enterprising discogs seller.

Die-cut looks great on that cover. I also foresee lots of damaged jackets on these over the years. Did you get it off discogs before it was blocked from sale or did you just message some one who you knew had it?

Got it before it was blocked. Yeah lots of small pointy edges in the die cut, have to be careful with it!

These are the big dramatic battle orchestrals from the game.

Super metroid, nicely done with glossy gatefold, printed inner sleeves and an insert

Beautiful @tex. I saw that the embargo was lifted yesterday and lots of people started posting it. Add that one to the list SNES soundtracks I'll never own because they will go for $150 immediately on ebay.

Maybe keep an eye out for moonshake people might sell those now. It is a slightly different approach but pretty great too. Not as comprehensive for the snes game but has the full 1986 and 1991 game music included. I have no idea what they go for now, I think I sold my extra copy for 60 bucks a couple years ago. I suspect very few of the red cover one will pop up though.

I'm pretty sure the Moonshake ones go for $200+ these days, that and DKC seem to sell for a lot and their sales have been way less frequent over the last year. I used to see a handful of Super Metroids pop up on reddit for sale every month or two but they have dried up.

Honestly I'm not too concerned, while I do love the soundtrack it's definitely one I can live with out.

There are too many vgm boot labels.. I’m like part of 5 groups and I don’t think any of them releases Crono or Super Metroid

At least you are part of the FF9 group. I would have loved to get that set.
