Having said all that there is still enjoyment to be had with this reissue, the music imo is some of the best Italian library has to offer, and an og may well set you back a 4 digit sum.

@dollar that Cosma is one I hadn’t heard before. Really cool.

Weirdly, I didn’t have that Braen’s release - not sure how I
missed that one - soooooo good.

@havershaw yes, Braen's is an epic grail of a record. Very good and very rare, I think. It's been crazy expensive for many years.

I only just realised that eldwyn is a Vladimir cosma alias, his "Ultra pop op" on MPI is also Solid.

So this was a completely blind buy based off of everyone in here praising it. Holy hell is it a killer album. Sound quality seems great but I have nothing to stack it up against as a comparison.

hell yeah! underground mood kicks ass. the sound quality of the original is not perfect either, it is a little bit muddy.

The last 3 days of mail have been nuts (although really these were all in only 3-4 packages because a lot of these are from Dusty Groove).

Killer haul @havershaw. I liked the few tracks from Fender Blues I sampled. Psichedelic has been on my list for a while.

@bez oh yeah, for some reason I didn’t notice those other two Umiliani releases - I’ll have to pick those up too.

Somehow both the Braen and Psichedelic were on my list forever and I had never gotten around to getting them, and noticed Dusty Groove had them both in stock, so I figured what the hell.

This thread really went underground. Great to see folks picking up copies of the The Braen’s Machine and Underground Mood. Add in the Brugnolini LP for the trifecta.

wait, which one? Is there a new release I’m not remembering?!

(I keep feeling like there’s some reissues that I need to pre-order or keep my eyes open for that I can’t remember for the life of me, but they may be Sonor stuff that’s been announced but not yet made available for pre-order.)

@havershaw - I’m just talking about Brugnolini’s Underground LP in regard to the theme of these library titles.

ahhh ok gotcha. I know there have been a slew of reissues announced and I keep thinking I’m forgetting important ones.

Killer haul @havershaw I've always wanted a copy of l uomo e la citta, classic Umiliani.

Nice to see those obscure Musidisc and cinemusic releases.
@havershaw have you ever picked up any of the CBS records easy cue "EZQ" series?

I haven’t and I keep meaning to, but it seems like there are very few samples of those and they’re always kinda expensive.
I’m not against spending that much but I’d like to hear at least a few songs before spending $100+ on a record, haha.

very interesting stuff in your latest haul @havershaw
some really good classics! also...the Emil Ascher's and Cinemusic records look really interesting.

agreed on Underground @Dollarhyde ... that one is crazy wild! a lot of psych collectors have it on their want list and i believe it appears in one of Hans Pokora's books, as Droga from the famous Viaggio Attraverso I Problemi Dell'Uomo does. to me Underground is not only one of the most sought after libraries but also some of the wildest wipe out records i have ever heard, especially the Fall Out track. a record that deserves to listened at loud volume!

not as wild as Underground but as enjoyable is this french creation from the lesser known Jean-Bernard Raiteux. Finders Keepers brought the very fine score "Les Démons" to the light for the first time. i really love both Harlem Pop Trotters releases but i think the second one is even better. some vivid folkish and soulful rock instrumentals with plenty of fuzz and hints of jazz. there are reissues of their second release which might have a little more info about the band. i was always wondering if the bikers on the covers are the actual instrumentalists behind these? anyone??

both releases, highly recommended!

Superground was on the table all weekend. I took it off briefly for some Alessandroni but put it right back on afterwards. I really love that album.

@inks both of those are soooo great! I made a CD of Superground that lives in my car and it’s also terrific driving music.
