Now I need some more Chappell. I’ve found 4-5 other great ones but I’d be happy to hear some more suggestions of essentials from this library.

@million good to see you are alive, and back to spinning here :D

Vol.3 is the one with psychedelic portrait.
@havershaw
This are the ones I've held on to.

Vol 2 is ok and the'les prospection' one (funny purple cover, think it is 17 or 18. Then there is 21 which I've never had, but want :)

thanks for the suggestions, all.

I think I had most of these on my “to get” list except 18, 19 and 21.

21 is *insanely* good. Not sure how I missed that one (especially considering the fact that there’s a lot of that one available on YouTube).

I ordered a good handful of these a couple of weeks ago, and 9 was the first one of the batch to arrive.

Nice I listened to some of that, it's very good

Pulled one at random this morning and it was this music scene, it is weird in a good way. Some of the tracks are a moogy big band lounge jazz affair and the others are asian library. Side B is all over the place but for me less interesting than A which is more straight ahead big band. Some are worth the listen so I dont skip it

Tony iglio (drug store) also makes an appearance credited on the track "sophisticated brazil"

I am tempted to buy all the available copies and sell them one by one for three times the price

Instead I post this photo with the suggestion that people are still asleep at the wheel on this LP. Listen to the first three tracks on the B side

Also, this arrived today (along with #7).

The b-side, in particular, is amazing.

And this pressing/recording is just bonkers. I wish my copy were in a little nicer shape, but I’m just glad I have one.

Nice one, good jazz

I had a chance to complete the rotary catalog this year at very fair offers but couldn't swing it. Oh well. This one is my favorite especially Campo Lungo, Sensazioni de estate and Camera-Car but they all have that special layered melodic amadeo Tommasi charm.

This album brings me so much joy, also and especially in this strange year.

I‘m not going to fool myself into believing that I someday will find a reasonably priced OG, that’s the grail of grails and the prices are north of anything I would be willing to pay for a record.

However, I recently upgraded to this Easy Tempo rerealese which now is also already 20 years old. Doesn‘t have the iconic cover art of the recent Schema rerelease mirroring the OG Carosello - but the sound quality is outstanding and it sits nicely next to my fine little collection of Easy Tempo releases.

It's the best!! I am happy to have a 80s repress, maybe I can get a brazilian one day, doubtful an Italian press. You're right the prices are really eye popping.

I saw some "top grabs" posts and thought I'd really taken it easy this year and not bought much. And it's true I bought very few albums, but I did some damage

Thankfully most all was funded by continuing to shrink the collection very methodically especially stuff I'm not listening to.

And tip of the hat to million for the hookup on tropicals, it is as good as women's colours, really played it a lot all year.

Sonor reissue coming although I debate the description of the psychedelic tinge of some tracks as unintentional. Mr wah wah surf guitar of braen machine with a track named Psichedelico, how could it be unintentional?

Groovy costy

Passed up a pricey (at the time!) small group sounds blue cover a few years back at a local shop, I bet it sounded better than this reissue with its questionable mastering.

It's like they tried to boost up the levels too much, the low end is just all muddy and boomy without the space you'd want between the instruments. I wonder if OG is better or if the mix was just a little thick to begin with

Great record looks like it needs a new and maybe better reissue

@texas wowwwww on all of those acquisitions.

Sad to hear that reissue of the Costy record isn't great-sounding. I was just about to order it, after I fell in love with some of those tracks that appeared on the Costy comp I just got. Still worth it if I can find it cheap though?

Also, am I crazy or is there supposed to be yet another Feelings repress? I love the one I have, but I'm pretty easily suckered into buying new versions of stuff to compare masterings.

Yes, reissued by Be With Records, on Feb 19th, 2021, preorder up at LitA, shipping on March 21st according to the site.

"The audio for this re-issue of Feelings comes from the original analog tapes and has been remastered for vinyl by Be With regular Simon Francis and cut by Pete Norman. The same care has been taken by the Be With team to restore that glorious original Carosello sleeve."

eek, sounds like another purchase of this for me.

I’m wondering too if I need to pick up that reissue butterfly record too. I have the last reissue that came out and I thought it sounded great, but I don’t have the original to compare to.

Which butterfly and which reissue? I think both got reissued recently!

Feeling happy today, like there is an end to the extreme busyness at work and maybe even a light in the very dark very long covid tunnel. I even got to see my parents this weekend, have hardly seen them all year long. Hope you guys also have a happy day.

wow, @texas! sweet.

I was talking about the E Il Suo Complesso that's up for pre-orders right now - I just went ahead and ordered it. Figured I can compare it with my 2005 reissue of it.
