Will be keeping a close eye on this thread, any re-releases please be sure to post as I nearly missed out on both 'Stringtronics' and 'Progressive Percussions' recently.

Here's possibly the greatest link and reference to Library Music i've ever discovered, each can be downloaded and listened to for all you very naughty people out there: http://maiolibrary.blogspot.co.uk/

I wish someone reissued Carlo Savina's "Atmosfera Drammatica Romantica". It's an amazing library record which sounds like a horror soundtrack.

Yeah that Carlo Savina is great and pretty difficult to come by

Great thread, excited for this one.

I for one would love to see a beginners guide for labels like Bruton, KPM and Cam and others that issued so much amazing music nestled in among so much mediocre music. I tend to be decent at remembering cover art and composers, but these covers and generic titles all start to blur together for me. What's a n00b to do?! :)

Sonor is killing it! All four will be great releases esp. the Micalizzi which is fantastic. An original just sold on eBay for quite a lot.

Just had an email from Private Records advising the Black Devil Disco Club package is unable to be shipped to the U.K at this time. Apparently it's 'restricted', not sure if anyone can shed some light on why that might be?

Would Imagine that is has to do with licensing as the 1978 record has been released a couple times in the UK

Yeah we have that in the store too.

Be cool for folks to share their collection and a youtube clip so it doesn't turn into a sales thread ;)

yes, maybe we want to break this into two threads - one for release announcements and one for the music.

here are a couple Nicolai library LPs on Edi-pan that can be found affordably that I really dig. darker atmospheric music. if someone told me they were OSTs for giallos I wouldn't have been surprised.

There are plenty of clips on youtube, but here are a couple to whet your whistle:

I've never known anything like it to have so many amazing releases happen in the space of two weeks or so.

Purchased!

@vapor I know what you mean.... It's the worst time ever to be skint. I'm actually selling my guitar amp and stack... Albeit I haven't used it in about 10 years... But I'm hoping to sell it so I can purchase some of these babies. Those Lesiman Here and Now volumes are on spotify and I'm listening right now and I know I need these in my collection. However, digital media will have to suffice right now.

BTW anyone want to buy a Marshall JCM 900 and 4x12 cab?

I've 'had' to sell some LP's to make way for some of these new library releases. My criteria is if I haven't listened to it for a month then it can't be that important to me and it goes up for sale, although there are a favorite few I just couldn't ever sell. It's a bad time to be skint as you said. Good luck with the amp sale. I''m having a Lesiman listening session tonight.
