I bloody love that I Gres series.

@Volzom where did you score that from... Vol. 3 is it?

I saw one up on discogs yesterday for like €45, but I'm so goddam penniless that I have to let it disappear before my very eyes.

Although the fellas at Cometa Edizione have told me Vol. 1 is getting a repress soon. So hopefully we'll see all 3 volumes coming ;)

@chuck - Yes it's Vol. 3 and I got it on D, from Fabio who owns SoundOHM. He's MOYSHEEEE on D and his record was €45. That's €5 more than the cheapest one, but I love Fabio's ultra fast shipping. Records are on your table the very next day - Insane!

Hey good news about that Vol.1 getting a repress soon. There are three copies of Vol. 2 available on D, but all are missing their covers. Is that strange?

Think I'm going to get the compilation in the meantime. Only two tracks are dupes from my Vol. 3, Shadow, Sweet Steel.

@milliondollars - Haven't been able to find anything on Discogs nor YouTube, but the Alessandroni tracks are licensed by Peer Southern Productions, Italy.

I found Peer Music Italy which has a huge library of all their records.

Peer Music Link

"The group was founded by Peermusic Ralph Sylvester Peer in January 1928 in the United States of America .
The company now boasts a staff of over 200 employees in 34 offices in 24 countries and a catalog of over 250,000 titles .

In our catalog you can find ..."

My Italien is quite rusty, but you give it a try! ;)

@Dollarhyde - It is sweet, isn't it? My absolute favourite track on the whole LP. Hoping to find more numbers like that.

What I prefer is digging in my own crates. I find sometimes real treasures that I almost forgot I owned...

The thought of all three volumes getting a repress makes me go a little funny. In the meantime i'll listen to the excellent compilation, still readily available from Cometa directly.

Stefano Torossi ‎– Feelings (Easy Tempo 2000)

Generally people on Discogs are telling you to stay away from the Golden Pavilion Records pressing. I got the Easy Tempo today (from D $60.00!) and it hasn't left my turntable yet. This is really a smooth porn cool jazz library record. Highly recommended.

Anyone know when 'Todays Sound' is being re-released? It's on the Transmission website but not sure when it's out. Many thanks.

It's listed as a "New Arrival" on Italy's Soundohm site as well: link.

Doesn't look like a preorder even, but I'm not too familiar with Soundohm and wouldn't know if the records they list are usually in stock.

Edit: Their faq says "We try to keep our on-line catalog constantly updated, so that all titles listed are currently available." So there.

^ The best part about Soundohm besides their cheap prices on wax is actually the insanely speedy shipping.
UPS Express Saver €9.00 and you have your records in hand the very next day, if you order early - and live in Europe of course.

Vapor, I ordered today 16.07.

16.59 I got a confirmation email from UPS saying they'll deliver a package tomorrow 20/05/2015.

It's insanely fast. Crazy really.

Hmmmm I ordered from Transmission at the weekend and have yet to receive a dispatch email. I'm sure everything is ok but methinks Soundohm might be getting some of my hard earned going forward.

I've just placed an order through Soundohm so let's see what happens (i'm in the U.K). for starters it's already worked out cheaper than buying from the U.K which is nuts.

didn't see too much Basil Kirchin related records on this forum. i don't like the two Worlds Within Worlds records too much as it is always a difficult listen.

have most of his library output but these are probably my favourite:

London Studio Group (Kirchin, Coleman & Nathan) ‎– Don't Lose Your Cool on DeWolfe

absoluely beautiful...

Kirchin, Coleman & Nathan again ‎– It's About Time on KPM

not too much Kirchin records out there that can mess with this. one that fell a bit under the radar ever since...

@milliondollars

have you heard Kirchin's quantum lp that was released on trunk. Essentially a third worlds within worlds lp. Has more going on compared to the other too. Not an easy listen but pretty extraordinary, I love it.

Also wondered what his 'mind on the run' library lp was like, love the cover.

@Dollarhyde: i have the Quantum LP as I am a Basil completist (almost :-)) a good one but i get rarely in the mood to listen to it...

Mind On The Run is also brilliant and worth chasing down. three tunes of this LP can be found on the B-side of Abstractions Of The Industrial North - Trunk reissue.

I've always wanted to see the film 'the mutations' featuring donald pleasence and tom baker, which also features a score by kirchin.

Dont know if the score is available or not, what little I have heard of it sounds great.
