Need to expand this section of my library stuff. This is the UK/French/German/US library cube. Throw me your best budget library recommendations!! Like $25-35 and under stuff.

I would say some jack arel & Pierre dutour, or some Jean Claude petit is essential French library that can be got cheap. Thier output in the Chappell Dance & Mood Music series DMM.

There are some sleeper bangers on Amphonic. Music pour l'image is also a good french label but maybe not so cheap for the good ones.

I don't have many kpm or bruton! Alta Tensioni is a bruton record with flipper style artwork. And I have one called Images, it's okay. For KPM I have communication, it had the old Alamo Drafthouse jingle on it. And a voices in harmony reissue.

The pink/purple sleeve Bruton stuff (BRM series) is all pretty good as far as I’m concerned, but none of it is super cheap right now.
I’m still missing a few but the overseas shipping is killing me every time I buy one of these. But there are at least 3 more I want.
(the light is weird on my couch right now so you get the floor)

I’m knee deep in work right now but I can surely recommend some MP2000 stuff later tonight (I have to refresh my memory on prices).
I recall there were a bunch that were super cheap and really good.
Also, I really loved Turn On (Golden Ring), which I got quite cheap.

coincidentally, I also have a German/French library shelf and this is it:

I do have more British (synchrofox, Southern, KPM) but they’re being moved to another shelf right now (I’m in the process of rearranging everything).

Been a while since I put this on. Lovely record, one of the best Nicolai on the Edipan label.

The full album is on youtube:

Another trip down psychedelic lane, really liking this one today. The Nascimbene drone track reminds me of the Macchi deserto record. I think last time I posted someone said that track maybe came from another record earlier

@texas I didn’t know about this Nicolai record!! Fantastic.

Does anyone know anything about his Kalendimaggio LP? Can’t seem to find anything of it online and it always seems to be inexpensive.

really fantastic late 80s library! Gruppo Sound is more like a dummy name for the Flipper empire. most of them that i have heard are not interesting but Paris-Dakar is really great! cool trip around the world with Vulcano being one of the best and most atmospheric underwater cues ever to be heard on a library record (believe me!). this one should be kept on the radar...

Thanks for the rally library recommendation, maybe I can find one.

This morning I'm listening to Jumping on Edipan which is underappreciated. It's light but a lovely record and certainly better than a lot of the chaff on Edipan. I think it cost me $20 several years back. Even has a slow burn funky conga/bongo synthy dirty flute track called Africa

You don't want this one. It is solo classical guitar in a baroque style and terrible

Oh well they can't all be winners

Haha, thanks. I figured if it were great, it would be way more expensive.

I know there are some sleepers out there but I thought it was weird that there weren’t any vids of it online.

WHY IS THERE SO MUCH TERRIBLE CLOWN MUSIC

I was a kid in the 70s but I don’t remember that many clown movies and TV shows needing music.
