Got the folding table out and set up both decks thinking I'd record a mix soon but I don't think mixer is up to it

This one grows on you like a fungus, on frequent rotation. I really want a copy of Fire Barn. after trolling discogs every day for like the past six years I notice a copy changed hands a couple months ago I didn't see, darn

Pulled this out and realized it was still sealed, sat on the shelf for six years. I can't decide if the reissue is marginal or my mixer is being stupid, probably both. It does not sound bad but also not great. I like the track "from Italy" best

I love that Mario molino wasn't content to do one album with four innagadadavida covers (Love on vroommm). The B side on this is just innagadadavida five times once straight up, once scat vocal + organ + guitar, once just all open drums, once with organ jams, and the last one is more freeform groove.

Nice to see that you are giving your Library collection more spins again @Texas (maybe that never decreased but you now share more spins again).

I quite like that Savina, think it does actually capture the 'going on a cruise to different countries in the golden times when this was not questioned from a sustainability perspective-vibes' really nicely. Have an OG (sounds great, can't judge the reissue) which I haven't played for some time, might pull that out tonight to transport me to more sunny places.

The reissue for that Savina has been on my "to buy" list for ages, just haven't pulled the trigger, though the tracks I sampled I rather liked.

This reissue sounds pretty good to my ears. I really enjoy the album, first time hearing it.

Yeah, Inksb - I also enjoy ‚Preistoria‘ quite a bit, nice and mellow, and again shows just how diverse the range of Umiliani‘s compositional skills were.

Shopping in Carnaby, auction got spicy tonight. I was chuckling at the "solid vg+ jacket" grading since it has water damage and some light mold. While humidity damage from dank Italian basement is not uncommon shouldn't it impact grading?

Put I Gres on for a spin after dinner. Sort of a diverse record makes me wonder if it is at least somewhat compilation. The track Jeannette sounds like it could be a discarded rino de Filippi + alessandroni track.

Still a favorite. This is the kind is abstract/exp/sparse soundscape that rattles around in my head quite well along with my tinnitus.

Saw a shipping notice today for Asia from DG. Looking forward to that as well.

Egisto Macchi is still the most interesting composer in the library music space, inbmy opinion. This and Nucleo Centrale Investigativo were my first Macchis. Love them.

Yes, I remember the time these came out. I bought Nucleo Centrale Investigativo but passed on Il Deserto because I was still very much finding out what I really like soundtrack and library wise.

I went off the macchi deep end for a while. I got tired of the sound since his compositions are a little unsettling but il deserto never gets old, probably my favorite of all of them. Voix and citta notte also.

Oh yeah he's definitely unsettling. Citta Notte was a standout for me too. I have a copy of Voix, should revisit. Bioritmi was also one that I really liked.

Weird Daniela Casa stuff on Panda. At times macchi-esque but with more coherent strings. I don't know what this would be background music for. I guess she was going for modern art sounds. I wonder who plays sax on the last track

Did he disclose what he paid for it?
