Nice spin, static. That one creeps back onto my table quite often. Enjoying another listen of this Morricone:

I don’t know about the film/score, but it’s one of my favourite novels. I should seek out the movie.

I need to check out that Umiliani and Morricone.

So I've never watched Interstellar, Nolan generally isn't my cup of tea so I just never sat down for the 3 hour run time of that film. I recently picked up some new IEM's and was looking for some tracks to demo, found quite a few people recommending the track Mountains off of that score. I put it on and was pretty floored by it. I even listened to more of the score and found it quite good. Maybe that will drive me to watch the film in the near future.

I try my hardest not to buy a record more than once, but I absolutely upgraded to the Interstellar Expanded Vinyl Set. I love the movie and the soundtrack is great too.

Rewatched quite a few Nolan in the run up to seeing Oppenheimer today. Interesting to find some have grown in my estimation and others I’m less impressed than I once was. But Interstellar is still right up there.

Last Sunday there was a 3 hour long interview with Hoyte van Hoytema on Dutch television. The format is that he picks some clips to play and the interviewer and him talk about them and elaborate about his life and work. It is slow and very interesting TV. I am positive you would like it, but because it is Dutch I cannot get a copy with subtitles.
Some info in Dutch: https://www.vprogids.nl/cinema/lees/art ... ytema.html

^love that cover!

Morricone 9/25 (I am not going to get to 25 new Morricone’s this year…)

I don’t understand why MoV uses these pvc sleeves. They smell a bit and I thought it is generally known that in time the gasses released are not good vinyl.

Anyways, sound quality is excellent and the first couple of tracks I heard so far are beautiful.

^this is a fantastic soundtrack! Very interesting to hear the mix go from left to right channel. I still need to check out the movie.

I see DWRC also released this one: https://www.discogs.com/release/2702794 ... Q4MzYxMjY=

And on the back of that obi it says coming soon: Inferno, Zombi and Flavia la monaca musulmana. I am wondering if those still are going to be released.

I actually found myself humming tunes from this the other day, scratching my head for ages about what the heck it was! Very memorable score ;)

Yup! He was also a member at times of the industrial/electronic band Coil (and he's currently in UnicaZürn and Cyclobe).

I need a copy of Bad Dreams, been on my want list for a while.

What's that Country LP like? Darol Anger is a hell of fiddle player curious how his sound integrates with the rest on there.
