Morricone 4/25

Did not realize until just now that this was still sealed!
I kept on postponing getting this Morricone because I wanted an old pressing. The first edition goes for too much so this Beat version has to do.
@deaf do you know why there appear to be 3 versions of this one from 1978?
I can’t imagine that they all were pressed in 1978.

I dislike that cover but like the other one from '78. Wonder how this compares to the Dagored reissue. I never had any issues with the Dagored pressing but never had anything to compare it to either.

I can’t imagine that they all were pressed in 1978.

I thought I had read somewhere that the black sleeve was a later repress but I'm not finding the note. I will have to pull my copy of the blue sleeve out later to compare the serial number, but I have seen many blue sleeve stamped with numbers below <1,000 and black sleeve with numbers above >1,000 which may provide a clue.

Where is @RedGoblin with the wealth of knowledge?

I am playing this for the first time. I know this is well known and Philip Glass is as well. But it is my first record of him. Never seen the movie.

This is not the place to ask this but will get the most views so figured I would put it here.

Grady Hendrix, author of My Best Friends Exorcism, Paperbacks From Hell and a few other fun books posted this cover on his IG and I immediately recognized the imagery. The painting is by William Teason for the 1963 paperback reprint of We Have Always Lived In the Castle. AMS used a recreated image of that for their 2015 pressing of Libra's Shock. Any one know why this was done? Is there a connection between the two or did some one just like the image and use it?

Even Sciotti was guilty of this with some obvious grabs of art sources or "inspiration". This poster art for Schock is a bit egregious though.

ah so the classic Italian rip off scenario haha. But at least I know where the AMS cover comes from. It seemed like such a random pull for the album art but makes sense that it was a poster originally for the film that just happened to rip off the original art. Also the AMS choice to go with red text is odd, I feel like it should have stuck with yellow.

Why does it say DIGITAL on my black spinning disc?

I like they cut off the "ears" suggestion in the original. the main character wishes she was or thinks of herself at times as a werewolf. i remember the first time i came across this cover while looking for older editions of Jackson's books and immediately went down the same rabbit hole.

Right? The "ears" were the first thing I noticed were different. Funny enough I think the proportions of her holding the fence with her arms and placement are closer to accurate on the Italian recreation.
