I'm curious what they will release of Servant because the score for the first season was released on vinyl in 2020: https://www.discogs.com/release/1762113 ... t-Season-1
Well it's a Lakeshore release so you can guarantee it will be exactly the same with shittier commissioned jacket art lol

ImageHarold Faltermeyer - Beverly Hills Cop II Original Score [Blow Out]

I feel like I have now come full circle with this album as the original OST was one of the first albums I purchased as a young lad. Just has to pick up that Faltermayer/Seger jam “Shakedown” to jam out with way back then.

Nice ones @Deaf! Looking forward to those.

Morricone 3/25

A Morricone that wasn’t very high on my list. Never seen La Cage aux Folles. And I don’t own the score by Morricone for that one.
But here is part 2…

what's the story about The Reincarnation of Peter Proud? I see there hasn't been an official release but the A-side of this 7" is fantastic!
And the B-side has Death Song from I Quattro Dell'Apocalisse on it. Tremendous track for a score that already was high on my want list... Need to pull the trigger soon.

Le Samouraï is so beautiful...

@Bez - The reason why that Goldsmith/Peter Proud theme rocks so hard is that it's a re-orchestration by Franco Bixio under the moniker of Orchestra Leon Herbert. The Victor Japan 45 looks to be repress of the Cinevox 45. Quite the fkn tune, yeah?

I also agree with you about B-F-T's Death's Song. It's really a top shelf 45 all around and would likely have heads nodding in the discothèque of yore. When Frizzi's band performs that one it is one of the highlights of the live set. I do recommend picking up Four of the Apocalypse. It is a very enjoyable album and Cook (Peter Kok) has a great voice on the songs. In fact, I think I will listen to it now. Thank you for the Saturday morning inspiration:

Btw, the Cinevox has a vintage laminated gatefold sleeve which is rare for these old albums. All the song lyrics are printed on the inner gatefold along with a photo of Fulci included on the bottom left. This seems like something of a special release for the time:

@Deaf
Thanks a lot for this info!
The credits on the Japanese 45" are not very accurate. Death Note is attributed to Goldsmith as well.

And that gatefold looks splendid! I'll try to see if I can get a copy next month (after my current credit card debt clears :-) )
That movie is something else by the way. So terribly grim.

When I was a kid, the tiny neighborhood video rental store on the corner had a one sheet poster of Body Double up in their window for years. The image is seared into my memory.
