Coincidently had the Salem track Trapdoor in my head earlier this week. Now I have to revisit.

trapdoor is a good one. I also love the title track from their EP "I'm Still in the Night". Super good. I've been following a lot of Witch-House before I got into the soundtrack collecting game. Still follow a few, mostly I follow Mater Suspiria Vision and Phantasma Disques.

Another cornerstone witch-house album from 2010 :

Frequently played before going to sleep. Can't believe this was 17.23$CAD, taxes included, when it came out, on amazon . ca. Now that the big companies are in the ost vinyl game, you see Games of Thrones season 3 for preorder at 89$CAD, Interstellar at 60$CAD, most of the italian stuff like Spasmo, the morricones and other are at least 38$CAD, Walter Mitty is still at 75$CAd.....

granted our Canadian dollar is not good right now.still.

@NL - ^That is pure bliss on vinyl. I find the whole album to be very meditative and relaxing.

Mine too! Interestingly, I just got a discogs order from a John Cale in SF. Any idea where the man resides these days? I seem to deal in a lot of musicians via discogs, which is neat.

The Dallas Morning News ran this picture with a recent article about the Dallas City Council:

Most people don't realize that the majority of RoboCop was shot in Dallas. If you're from the Dallas area, you'll easily recognize the local landmarks though, including the already odd looking Dallas City Hall shown above which was turned into a skyscraper thanks to CGI.

Real Dallas City Hall:

@discosucks : I don't know their music, but that Amon Duul II cover art is great !

@static14 : that release is great ! I could see Robocop being re-released at some point by Mondo, or even Waxwork. I don't think I would double dip, this release is already super good, and essential for a soundtrack collection. This and the Conan osts, are probably the top essential Basil Poledouris.

I had no idea it was shot in Dallas. Cool bit of trivia for sure.

@NathanLurker I don't think I'd double dip either. When it comes to Poledouris though I'd love to see someone release Switchback and Breakdown on vinyl (especially Breakdown) I might be in the minority with those choices though :)
