I honestly have no idea. All I know is that Piano Piano announced there was a delay for the US pressing but EU was on track to meet it's original ship date. All US stores I saw it for sale in pushed their dates back but I ordered from Rappcats and got my pressing last week
Yeah I got mine from Rappcats also, right when you did too, from the sound of it.
Checked the runout groove and this is definitely the US pressing, as the EU one has a different etching.

Now I’m curious to hear that EU version.

I’ve been working for literally 28 days with only one day off, so my new arrivals have really been piling up. I should probably stop buying stuff, but any time this De Wolfe stuff shows up in the US, I feel like I have to jump on it.
So this is what arrived in the last week or two.

thanks for the picture @Texas
really interesting to see that yours does have a specific hand written catalogue number, too. it seems as these sets were handmade by the staff and they used these boxes to put all 10 volumes inside. still some nice artefact to own...

Very glad to hear that some of you been enjoying the new Sven Wunder LP and sorry to hear that you had issues with the pressings and one even lost in the mail. The US pressing was kept being delayed but was finally delivered earlier then they first announce so Rappcats have shipped out all (or hopefully most) of their pre-orders by now. The idea with making two pressings was to avoid all overseas shipments back and forth, but due to the current situation the US with manufacturing and with no slots available until early/mid 2022 are the forthcoming reissue being printed by Optimal in Germany (alas 'the EU pressing') with lacquers made by Timmion.

@Jimmy_Mike did you contact Rappcats and asked if they can replace your copy with a new one? The copies that they still have for sale are their last of the US one, then they'll get copies of the EU repress in October.

@inksb sorry to hear about the pressing faults, but glad to hear to see that it might plays better with a little cleaning. Otherwise e-mail me at pianopianorecords@gmail.com and we'll sort something. The problem is the quality control at the plants since they are being so backed up with delays and less time to check for these faults.

Lovely to see these RCA boxes @Million and @Tex, I spotted one once in the trunk of a car of a seller in Rome that I met up once some years ago and bought some libraries from. I should have asked if it was for sale!

Incredible to see all these De Wolfe libs too, @havershaw. 'Abstractions of the Industrial North' is one of my favourites too. If anyone here ever come across a 'Power Project' 10" on De Wolfe that you want to part with, please keep me in mind.

Here's two of my most recent library additions. I had another copy of 'Atmosfere' before that went in a trade, so I'm very grateful to have it again.
Both fantastic records that I've seen been mentioned here before.

Thanks for the info @Molnbär av John good to know what's going on. I love reading stories like what you posted there about seeing one in the trunk of a car of a guy you were meeting for a sale. I need to check out that Scappo Per Cantare album, the cover is intrigueing

Ink scappo is wonderful sorgini + Alessandro, I wish I had one! John that looks like a beautiful copy.

Million I saw that Sr St 132, probably my most wanted record. One of the couple of "big" ales records still missing a copy of. I considered it but just couldn't pull the trigger. It disappeared pretty fast.

@Molnbär av John - haven’t seen a Power Project 10” for sale for quite some time. I got mine a few years ago. Love that record!

Came home from a small trip tonight to all of these beauties waiting for me (as well as the ones I posted in the OST thread).

also, great scores @John! love Scappo Per Cantare. one of the best Sorgini records for me. did you ever see this?

that intro is so great. can't believe how 'alive' film music was and how it was crafted for broadcasting like this...

@Dollarhyde: did you succeed with finding the cue from that anime you have posted a while back?

you might be lucky with this April Orchestra record? the A side contains Bernard Fevre compositions under his Milpatte pseudonym and I am almost a 100% sure, that these cues are outtakes and alternate versions from the allmighty 'Strange World Of...' session. the cues are equally good and do have the same punch. April Orchestra vol. 47 is a overseen gem. it is really worth having, also for the fantastic B side composed by the french artist Serge Bulot. totally unreal psychedelic folkish leftfield exotica. this is the stuff that got me into library actually. almost forgot about this record. the green sleeve suits the jungle feeling really well, too. put that record on and dream a little...

@million, I did not know about this April orchestra record nice recommendation, but the date is to late for the captian harlock clip Ive been searching for, which is from 1978.

I've done a fair bit of searching across the internet and have had no luck. Another library that was used in the series is eve for ever on "mondiophone'.

The closest sounding things I've found are similar to your suggestion of fevre, and that is the possibility of an early Musax release. At first I thought it must be cosmos 2023 or suspense but it's not either of these (unless I missed something on cosmos). other thoughts are something electronic from patchwork, mp2000, or some other french library. Have hit a dead end though, so far.

@Dollarhade, i think Patchwork is a good place to continue our search! would be so great if you could figure out! maybe a long shot bub did you ever try Shazam as @ScoJo did a while ago, and succeeded big time? :)

sitting at home and fooling around with these classics. really love the sound, that is basically from the same category. but what really excites me are the sleeves. the cover art is so close to each other! have converted the original art into negative and i think nobody would be upset if it was the other way around...

these two records appear in the Pop Trumps card game and i do not fully agree with a fact being mentioned. African Voodoo is being described as the only library outing by Manu Dibango, which is not true. there is a library album called Africadellic released on Mondiophone the same year. I think it is a bit overlooked since it is equally good as African Voodoo plus a original copy costs like a tenth of the PSI record. some useless library knowledge being dropped. sorry for the spam, i am sober! i am good!! :)

@million, I honestly thought there were more than 2 Manu Dibango libraries.

Those positive negative images are awesome, and uncannily similar.

I've been searching through the patchwork catalogue for that Harlock cue and now have a hunch it could be a Teddy Lasry track, but not found it yet, the search continues...

Have also been enlightened that Teddy Lasry is the son of Jacques and Yvonne lasry. Jacques lasry was half of the experiential partnership for "structures sonores lasry-baschet", and it seems the whole family, mother, father and two sons were all multi instrumentalist abstract experiential musicians. ,,,😎

And yes tried Shazam but no luck, maybe the FX and dialogue was an issue?

I also had a crack at Shazam'ing this for you @dollar, trying in a dozen different spot in the clip - but there's not even two seconds of music clear of sfx and dialogue unfortunately so no success. Since I found that Fog cue I guess I've been feeling like anything is possible!

Cheers @scojo, I'm going to continue pursuing this. It's unmistakably some euro electronics from the mid to late 70s and I feel we aren't far from solving it. I actually need to pick up watching the series, as maybe hearing more library cues in the show might help.

Adding lots of electronic library's to the want list in the process 😁

Henryk Debich - Monika/Zabawa w Ciemnosci (fun in darkness)
Technically maybe not library, but this is unreleased music for TV. This 45 will be followed up with an LP on astigmatic records of unreleased Debich material from the Lodz radio archives.

Agreed @inks I don't know if they are referencing another album or not but they've nailed the 70s/80s Polish graphic design aesthetic, which in itself is some of my favourite design work.
