I see on the spines that it alternates Nicolai & Morricone, is each disc their respective works? I assumed this set was a Morricone written but Nicolai conducted music like most of their collabs.

I listened to the meccanizzazione again. Maybe I got a bad copy, it is the last track on each side with a fuzzy sound. The stranded folks are sending a new sleeve though which is nice

My copy of Natura Morta arrived yesterday and unfortunately I'm having an issue with it. I wanted to check with others who have it to see if it's a bad copy or just the pressing. On the first track right at the beginning you have keys followed by cymbals & horns swelling, when the cymbals & horns come in I'm getting distortion bad. Does this happen on any one elses?
I'm going to give it a cleaning to see if there's something in the grooves but it's so specific to that spot where those instruments come in really hot. It happens for the first 10-20 seconds then goes away.

Well this is very odd. I feel like a similar thing happened to @scojo recently. I got home tonight and went to check out the opening of Natura Morta and record it, the distortion was much less, I replayed the opening 3 or 4 times and the distortion is pretty much gone now. Must have been some residue in the grooves left over from pressing process. Still plan on giving a good cleaning soon but I'm glad that awful distortion is gone.

The box contains the 10 Dimensioni Sonore albums on slightly translucent red vinyl and on CD.
There is a tote bag, the big poster of Morricone and a very nice booklet with info about it all.

Mr. Bongo US store has the EU pressing of Natura Morta for $45 shipped. I do not see any US pressing. Not sure if there is any difference in sound, but they were pressed at different plants.

Rappcats still has them available, I assume they are from the EU pressing as the US pressing was delayed until October which you can pre-order from LITA. That sucks it's lost in the mail, has it just not moved?

I honestly have no idea. All I know is that Piano Piano announced there was a delay for the US pressing but EU was on track to meet it's original ship date. All US stores I saw it for sale in pushed their dates back but I ordered from Rappcats and got my pressing last week
