The Easy Tempo release is spread across 2 discs opposed to the 1 for the Spettro release. The Spettro sounds quite good. Better than Giornate Nera I think. But the Easy Tempo does sound a bit better. More detailed?

To be fair: you wouldn't go wrong with either version I think.

Those Easy Tempo releases from back in the 00's seem a bit pricey now on Discogs... keep meaning to gradually pick them up but then something else comes along and distracts me. Have found a couple second hand in stores, which works out more affordable

Sound defect would be a bit harsh. They sound very nice but for me maybe a tad too sharp. Especially on that Gioranta one.

@static 14 yes, one of their more quiet vinyl releases, although side 4 did get a little wonky on me. Not sure if I had gunk on my needle or what.

I have been wanting this one since Spencer posted about it waaayy back. So good! I shouldn't have waited so long to add it to my collection.

Cheers Mateo. However (maybe I'm being short-sighted) I think my issue the size. I don't know how to make it smaller without changing the camera settings, which I lazily don't want to do, in case I then forget to change back, and capture a life moment that ends up looking like an 8-bit video game! I can't see anything in the thread about compression?

Sorry, Chief, that's my fault. I thought the size thing was in that great post by Bez; I should've read it through again. No surprise, though, that he's right again about using a free image hosting site like imagur or postimage and resizing as you go. That's an extra step, but I've found once you do it a few times, it only takes an extra few seconds.

Pretty cool Four Flies release, that does sound like music to have a cool sunny afternoon, walking on the boardwalk, shopping, it's pretty mellow but full of psych-beat jazz. Feel good music for chill afternoon in the city.

This here can be bought for cheap, and I think it's an amazing score from Abel Korzeniowski for a show that ended to quickly with a rather abrupt, unsatisfying ending, but was overall a real treat. I don't think that gothic fiction has been done best in the past few years. And the score is an essential buy for me, even though the packaging itself is a standard sleeve with printed inner sleeve, no liner notes or extras, it looks proper good in any case. The music has some fantastic orchestral dramatic moment, with a few mellow melancholic piano pieces. Although not overly horrific, it's an elegant and romantic horror mood.

I hope it sells well and the season 2-3 gets released.

This turned out to be quite nice, I didn't remember the score after I watched the movie but when Mondo announced the title I thought I needed this anyway, seeing as how I really enjoyed that movie. The main title that repeats through the score is a great melody of mystery. Lots of tension buildups, thrilling bursts of danger, it's an overall great score.

Seriously, I'm very interested in seeing the next installment in the ''cloverfieldverse''. Once the third one is out, I might just do a marathon through the first 2 before going to see the third.

This is great ! There's a few parts of whimsical and playful melodies, sometimes on flute, that breaks the menacing moments of big string movements. I need more Bernard scores. I have my eyes set on a copy of Bernard's Hammer Dracula films compilation that was released a few months ago. I just love the sound of these big epic old school orchestral scores. There's still a lot of titles to dig into from the Hammer Archives alone. What Hammer scores reissues did we get yet ? Only Twins of Evil, right ?

Thanks Deaf for hooking me up with a copy of this a while ago. I don't know what Frizzi was going for when composing this music, but it's got an extra dose of cheese all over. Feels more like a Buddy Cop action or low budget 80's special ops action film score than a creature feature score. What's with the violon in there ? isn't a bit odd ? I like it enough though.

I just watched this in the past week @nathan and liked the film well enough. I'll be similarly interested in any subsequent films.

As I knew the score had been picked up by Mondo I was listening out for it, but it never really stood out. Maybe it's one of those ones that benefits from being heard away from the visuals, but having the visuals in mind when listening.

I find it strange that McCreary's work on the Walking Dead remains largely unreleased. It's probably the only part of the show that hasn't got a bit lazy - I think the last 2 or 3 seasons have had many highlights, musically. It's strange that his score for a show like Outlander is out there, but TWD isn't, other than a couple of tracks.
