Took a minute to track one of these down. This one on Flower is a much more pleasant listen than the other whistling record he did on SR

Also snagged this one for a pretty nice price. Had the penny reissue for quite a few years and finally got it upgraded.

not sure if this is the right topic, i've used the SEARCH QUERY with no results.
i'd like to suggest, if you guys don't know, these new records:

Leroy Duncann - instrumentals on 7''
Image

they are pure jazz funk grooves, you can listen all of theme here:

Hey all, finally finished ripping most of the Patchwork I own. I have maybe 4 more that I still have to have cleaned so I haven't ripped those yet (they're higher numbers in the series).

I debated whether I should just make them one file for the whole record, or break them up track by track, and in the end, my OCD won out and I separated them out track by track. This is partially because some of these records have a few tracks I'd want to skip if I were listening in the car or on headphones on a walk or something.

I didn't get too crazy trying to remove pops or crackle or whatever on most of these. There were a few where I did go in and do some gentle crackle removal with software, because even after cleaning, some were a little noisy. I'm sure you'll still hear the occasional vinyl crackle or whatever.

There are the ones I have ready now:
2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 19, 20, 21, 29, 34, 35.

There's great stuff on all of them. There are a few (like 4 I think?) that have some goofy stuff real early on but still have quite a few gems on them. Others, like 10 (Children/Games) I would think were going to be lame but they ended up having quite a few great songs on them (I usually avoid "Children" library records like the plague, but this one is pretty good), so basically what I'm saying is, I can heartily recommend all of these. Only a few have tracks I'd skip.

DM me for download links. I have each album in a zipped folder of its own.
Files are 16 bit, 44.1K.

@milliondollars i agree 100%, 7'' is not the right format if you are going to press more tracks.
now you're practically going to pay 60 pounds to listen 10 tracks.. not that cool.
but the music is really nice so i wanted to support :D (i usually buy/collect just LP)

pokus EP is pretty good too, i am disappointed that there isn't a nice cover to crown the project ahah

@havershaw thanks so much!

Also now have rips for these:

https://www.discogs.com/Carlo-Savina-An ... se/1556805

https://www.discogs.com/Orchestra-Giann ... se/1686052
(warning on this one: side 2 is a little crackly. I own two NM copies of this record (both have been ultrasonically cleaned) and they're both noisy as Side 2 progresses. It's pressed on ridiculously heavy vinyl but I still think this is a pressing issue.

DM me if you want the links!

OK, I also managed to finish all three of the MP 2000 Panorama records, which are...very much a mixed bag.
Each of these albums has its share of goofy stuff, but there's still some great stuff here (a lot of the B side of the first one is Janko Nilovic).

Going to bed now, so if you DM me for these, I'll send them in the morning.

same problem with Fallabrino. i have a visible near mint copy and side b is not that clean.
'B1 Imitazione' is the worst, i've ripped it so you could listen if you have the same crackles:

My B1 is pretty good actually.
It just gets a little louder as the side progresses. I think maybe B3 is worst for me.
But it’s still really not all that bad.

I feel like I really don't notice the crackling unless a song is fading out, and inbetween songs. I did use a digital filter on the space between songs to minimize the crackle...I don't put it on too severe of a setting or it starts to sound weird. It improved it, but I can't say it totally removed it.

Anyone have a copy of "Power" by Janko Nilovic and Pascal Auriat?
It's NM for sure, and I've had that one cleaned and it definitely improved it - but it's kind of like that Music For Brass LP, which still has some noise even after the cleaning. I don't think it's too noticeable during the songs, but it's there.

OMG!!!! You have these extremely nice catches from time to time. I was about to drop a 140 on a OG Sciascia sea fantasy but I just cant do it even if I want it

Sea Fantasy is really good! Maybe the other reissue is good, the first pheon/trunk one was meh.

Today's mail day.. the Conroy is really great, the Harmonic has some moments and a nice Peter Jacques and a heinz keissling track.

As I listen to this there are some more than good moments in the Harmonic Side A. I got it for Onyx which is a Peter Jacques track also appearing in one or two other LPs, a real monster. Side B is weaker except Looking Around which is the keissling.

I need some more good recommendation on harmony, Conroy and German stuff like these.

Dang, those seem awesome.

I have a few German records on Golden Ring which are pretty terrific all the way through -

https://www.discogs.com/Frank-And-The-T ... se/4391656

https://www.discogs.com/Frank-And-The-T ... se/1955849

Not terrific all the way through but much more good than bad:
https://www.discogs.com/Ralph-Marco-Ban ... se/3244291

https://www.discogs.com/Peter-Thomas-St ... e/10959363

I plan to rip all of these tonight (I have a good workflow for ripping vinyl now) but I’m starting to think my stylus is beat. I bought a new one but I gotta break it in before I rip anything, I think. May be able to get to them tonight if you wanna hear them though.

I feel like I heard that the new Sea Fantasy was no better than the previous repress. Maybe somewhere back in this thread?

@Dollar/Steve: Yes, was a good catch. Actually, I did not have this on my radar for a long time, I listened to it digitally 2 years ago or so and somehow it didn't really click with me. Recently I have been quite into scores to gangster films again (especially Roy Budd) and when I listened to "Pulsar" again I though it was great. Then a nice copy popped up on eBay some weeks ago and I had to pull the trigger.

Any one order Giancarlo Gazzani - MUSICA PER COMMENTI SONORI from Sonar? It seemed to sell out insanely fast.

It's still available at rappcats for US folks. The samples sound pretty good. Assuming this a pretty big issue for folks that are familiar? I've never heard of it but I've only dipped my toes into the Library world.
