Has the same problem with Zombi 2, noticed that something was wrong only when i reached the last track on the B side.


This Blut Aus Nord record sounds way better when played at 33rpm, was so disappointed when i heard an mp3 version playing at the right speed

The problem with Zombi 2 is that my splatter copy didn't come with a litho

Still the best DW release, imo. Love everything about it.

So when LCD Soundsystem played their second ever UK show waaaay back in the day . I dj'd before they came on , when they came on stage they asked for something around 140 Bpm and then one by one walked on and started playing .. Was pretty amazing . I watched them got drunk and danced then again dj'd after they had finished .. At this point I was pretty wrecked I was playing nag nag nag by cabaret Voltaire and James Murphy came up and said you know whenever I play this I usually drop it at 45 and smiled ....
I slowly but surely started to pitch that record up !

I originally did this with AOP13 and the bass and kicks we're so low, it was like it was hitting the "brown note" and I thought I was going crazy.

I've figured out the problem with private replies - they're only viewable to the person who started the thread. That's why Rasmus can see them here. Likewise, I can see everything in the 'Ask Spencer Anything' thread, cos I started it.

I did this exact same thing with my copy of zombi 2 lol and for the record it still sounds great slowed down.
I have also done this with SUNN records a couple of times.

got the same problem with DW's Bronx Warriors...found it soooooo boring until i noticed it should be played at 45rpm...At the right speed that's a killer!!!

I played AFX's Hangable Auto Bulb EPs at 33 for ages before realising it was wrong. "Everyday" and "Arched Maid" sound so much better though. The detail in the drum programming is lost at normal speed.
