@reddye6 - How is the Fallout 4 OST? I have not played the game yet, but felt FO3 was a milestone for both the game itself and the original score. A six-vinyl box set? How is your interest holding up? :)

I have some personal pros/cons for the FO3 vinyl box set, and that one was only 3 LP's & a 7". The first box set felt heavy on materials, but a bit light on content. For example, the booklet featured full-page cartoony artwork, but no liner notes at all about the composer or even the game itself.

There is an upcoming concert in LA on August 21st featuring the music of Gary Shyman (BioShock), along with some material by Fallout 3/4 composer, Inon Zur, and even an Elmer Bernstein guitar concerto. The theater site doesn't mention it, but Inon Zur will also be performing the Fallout 4 theme live at this show:

Ok, I'm now four LPs in, and I'm enjoying it so far. When I first bought it, I had almost immediate buyer's remorse -- did I really need 6 LPs of this? I was interested in it and then talked myself out of it, but then Bethesda had it for 20% off last week, so I swung back and got it. And I had buyer's remorse today when I got laid off from some side part-time work that I do for extra bill payments and record-buying funds. That being said, it has a nice, moody feel to it. The piano at times actually reminds me of Jim Thirlwell's work on "The Venture Bros." with a strong percussive quality to it -- the Venture Bros. songs that have a more sinister, noir feel than the bombastic tunes.

The package is the 6 LPs in three 2-LP gatefold sleeves. The outer and inner sleeve art is done as futuristic pulp magazine cover art. I haven't played FO4, so I don't know if the magazines play a strong role in the game. There is again nothing about the game, composer bio, composition notes, etc. No digital download, either.

The magazines are collectibles that give you stat boosts.

Up early enough this morning to spend so time with this. A wonderful gem of a score from Frank LaLoggia on Varèse Sarabande. He also scored Fear No Evil. This can be a tough one to find but well worth seeking out. You can hear it on youtube.

I love helping others spend their money. ;)

Seriously though, I only had time for side one but it's wonderful, IMHO . Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

If the black pressing is any indication of qc that colored variant is likely to sound terrible. Almost constant noise in the right channel through all of side one and most of side 2. Im hoping its just burrs from the pressing and will disipate after a few plays. I all ready gave it a run through the rcm so fingers crossed. :(

@static, so sorry to hear that, I know how much you were looking forward to this release. I hate when that happens. Did you get it local or mail order, can you request an exchange?

Six new Cinedelics on my stoop today! The first in a lovely sounding green & orange pressing, #6/600, upbeat and relaxing lounge OST with tracks authored by Giacomo Dell'Orso ("bear" in Italian hence the cover!), Franco Bonfanti, and Giorgio Santini AKA "Tannis"
