I had just recently reread the princess bride, one of the funniest laugh out loud books in the world. I remember reading the blurb that read “his novel marathon man has made him famous in dentists office all over the world” and only vaguely understanding why that was funny. His fingerprints are all over modern movies and across genres. Not a lot of creators like him the world.
