Nope, not that article, I started reading that but he get's a little into spoilers so I stopped. Couldn't many of his thoughts and points be made about many filmmakers from Marty to Tarantino to insert any filmmaker that makes films with scenes of "questionable" taste, dialog or casting. It's a weird and slippery slope to go down although some of Zahlers comments don't seem to help him in his defense.

Back on topic, this Prairie Birthday Bomb is quite fantastic. Perfect for this cold, dark and dreary evening.

love these shots @Bez!!

been too busy to waste time in the internet lately. did a little 60l brew (munich export lager style) yesterday and hopefully i can sip this in about six weeks...here's how fermentation looked like today after i have added yeast yesterday night. i love to watch this. it started off looking like a logarithmic spiral. it's magic and it smells so good down here...

So my beer purchasing has fallen off a lot over the last year. I buy beer maybe once a month or a little more if I'm going to some ones house for a get together or something. Every time I set out to buy new beer I get increasingly frustrated. I have noticed some new trends over the last few months that really bug me, Session IPA's and Gose going way up in price for no real reason other than, hey we can put this in a 4pk 16oz and charge $14 for it. Both of them are relatively inexpensive beers to make and should not cost that much. Why would I spend $14 on a session when I can spend $1-$2 more for a double/triple/hazy/juicy IPA? I saw Lawson's Liquids (famous for Sip Of Sunshine IPA) released a 12pk Session for $26, my immediate thought was who is buying a $26 session?

I did pick up some Petrus Aged Red because I was craving a sour this weekend. It's such a tasty beer.

have to give you my thoughts on your comment on beer prices @inksb! over here in europe, especially in germany, a big craft beer hype has emerged a few years ago. small craft beer breweries started springing like mushrooms. my local beer shop had like 50-60 different craft beers besides the normal stuff. now - about 1-2 years later - they carry like 10 if not less. it became too big within a short time and the breweries had to charge a lot of money for their small brew batches in order to survive but i think most people are not ready to drop a few $$$ on one single can or bottle. not those who drink beer excessively. i would say that quite some of these breweries do not exist anymore today and it is no wonder as this is a tough market. this is one reason for high prices. but on the other hand, the prices you have mentioned are just above average and unreasonable.

$26 for a session? what currency is it? Zimbabwe dollar? haha!

love some sour lambic stuff myself. cherries in particular! these give me the perfect thirst quench over the summer...

Sours and IPA's are my go to summer beverage. I drink them both year round but the warm weather just compliments them. There is a brewery a little over an hour from me that does some crazy sours, it's their thing. All of their beers are crazy and they live in that little niche of being pretty sought after, sell some cans and do crowler releases once or twice a week. They are small and I don't think they plan on growing bigger than what they are. I haven't made my way out there yet due to the drive and the fact there is nothing else out that way, plus my one friend who is really into beer just moved 15 hours south so I have no one to go with me.

I am waiting for the beer bubble to pop over here in the US, it will but not in a "crashing down" kind of way, I just think over the next 5-10 years we will see a lot of smaller companies quietly fold and some will pop up in their place. In a 50 mile radius there are probably 30 breweries around me, 7 years ago there were 4 and one of them is Genesee.

it would be funny when beer culture returns to it's roots when every small ass town had like 5 own breweries like about 100 years ago over here in europe...

sours and IPA's are right up m alley, i could enjoy them all night and all day if i could, haha!

Because my team (Spurs) have gone full hipster and installed a giant brewery below the home stand, I’ve been hammering Beavertown’s Neck Oil for the last few months since it opened. And on occasion Gamma Ray and a few others. The main BT brewers is right next to my friends little studio in Tottenham so I was happy spurs went local with the beer selection. Recommend Neck Oil to all the beer crew

Lupaloid by Beavertown :p I love that stuff.

I'm no connoisseur but If I were to recommend one UK session beer it would be this one.

Any good? I'd probably buy that too just based on the label. Two Roads makes some good beers and some that don't quite align with my palette.
