Great soundtrack, really loved the music, but is this actually a DW (joint) release? It feels more like a distributed item for Jagjaguwar. Even the catalogue number is JAG253, All rights reserved Jagjaguwar.

What makes this joint? will Distributed titles start being a part of a DW sub?

I don't know what makes it a joint. Perhaps Spencer helped them secure/find the rights or something? Dunno. It does have both Jagjaguwar and Death Waltz logos on the back, right?

I am so happy that this was part of the sub, it's an amazing album. I buy a lot of Jagjaguwar releases & their pressings are usually pretty awful, which is a shame cos they are such a great label. So I'm hoping that Death Waltz have nailed the audio quality on this one. Mine hasn't arrived yet tho...

No, there is little DW logo on the back everything else looks like a jagjaguwar release!

I presume it's a contractural thing? Jeremy Schmidt (for it is he) is a member of Jagjaguar faves Black Mountain. It was probably easier to licence him as a joint thingy with his home label.
