FINDERS KEEPERS RIP

Sad to discover that FKR has gone under - filed for insolvency it seems. Might explain why they’ve started another co-label venture with an Australian label this year.

At their peak there was nobody else like them, with their commitment to unearthing incredible European film scores and world oddities when it wasn’t such a saturated field, all with excruciatingly overwritten liner notes by Snr Votel. End of an era, for sure.

That's a bummer to hear, I honestly thought they had closed up shop as a label a few years ago. I feel like it's been a few years since they even released anything new

What's the new co-label?

Shame ...they did some really excellent releases over the years.

Sad news. Is the record selling business on a downwards path?
Personally I don’t care about all the Disney stuff that is released, but Quartet Records and some Italian labels still do release some very nice stuff. Not counting BOR releases I think I am still buying around 25 new records a year.
Actually that doesn’t sound that much… Life is expensive!
