@spun have you ever considered using type 2 cassettes? Chrome or some lovely mixture? Whatever you’re using is quite nice, definately not a criticism

Hey @max we used chrome for the majority of our earlier releases... and always go for the best available at the time, so yeah, fingers crossed not had any issues so far ;)

I say, this Simon James tape is flipping brilliant. I don’t know much about Buchla but my synth fanatic brother gets very excited.

Went and got his other record https://www.normanrecords.com/records/1 ... ha-den-den because it’s got that old arsehole from Star Wars doing voice work on it. ( his character is the arsehole, I reckon he’s awesome)

Thanks Max - yes Simon James' Akiha Den Den album is lovely - albeit a spooky listen and quite different to Cosmic Surgery!

Ian McDiarmid is also a dude. Once found myself standing next to him at a bar at the Almeida Theatre in London just after the Star Wars prequels had come out, and, on hearing that familiar voice, blurted out 'hey you're the emperor in the Star Wars prequels' ...to which he replied "Actually, I'm the emperor in *all* the Star Wars movies"

Got my copies a few days ago. I haven't had a chance to listen but I'll be spending a lot of time at home doing work this weekend so I'll be listening to each tape.

Before our next vinyl release we have something a bit different - a butterfly style cassette double pack featuring two new albums of cinematic sounds from Irish composer and electronic musician Steve Nolan that act as a positive & negative soundtrack to life itself...

Whereas 'From Water' wraps itself around your heart.... 'Ream' is an at times disquieting punch to the gut.

Preview a couple of tracks from each album (sold digitally individually via our Bandcamp, or in tandem as they are meant to be heard as a limited edition cassette double pack, tape colours reflecting the artwork, which is original cover paintings this time by Eric Adrian Lee).
