For those awaiting news on Repeated Viewing's Street Force & Bryce Miller City Depths albums, we will post on-sale news when we have stock in hand.

Also want to give thanks here to Seb of One Way Static who was very open with advice/friendship when I had this crazy idea in the first place. Very much appreciated!

Here is the full 'release':

New London-based music label Spun Out Of Control has launched with a limited edition audio cassette release of the haunting score to Irish independent movie ‘Sodium Party’, written and produced by composer Steve Nolan.

Additionally, there are two further tape releases already prepped. Sharing similar musical DNA, these are very real scores… yet for fictional films… written, performed & produced by Scottish synth wizard Repeated Viewing (aka Alan Sinclair) and ultra talented young US composer Bryce Miller.

Repeated Viewing follows last year’s giallo-infused score The Three Sisters with a score to the ‘imagined’ movie ‘Street Force’, an affectionate, keyboard riff-driven tribute to Italian crime dramas (or ‘Poliziotteschi’) of the 70s and 80s.

Miller’s ‘City Depths’ is a Vangelis & Carpenter inspired soundscape, which the composer manages to make uniquely his own, via an ear for propulsive bass-driven synth lines and a multitude of meaty hooks.

First release ready to go, ‘Sodium Party’, is actually Steve Nolan’s second score, with the composer having a distinguished background in documentary work. Like any good film music, Nolan’s soundtrack for ‘Sodium Party’ elevates the movie to which it is attached to a higher level. But moreover, devoid of the surrealistic, fairytale imagery of the movie that inspired it, it makes for an enchanting, haunting and surprisingly moving standalone listen…

In bed at 3am? Hardly, my good man. That's still the fat of the evening. Now about the whole tipsy thing...

Cheers for the well wishes chaps - and big thanks to everyone who has pre-ordered so far from our retail partners who deserve the support equally for taking on a new label/composer... :)

For those who have yet to take the plunge, tune into the DFC EP 39 (!) this week to find out what the guys thought:

Sodium Party tape is first up, around the 3 min mark.

I am listening to the DFC, and really love the tape. Definitely going to buy. I am in the Netherlands and not sure were to buy at the moment. Just wondering why I would buy from retail in stead of Bandcamp. I love supporting everyone a bit :-) But I prefer to support the artist/label most.
Will you have the split tape through bandcamp?
Great stuff!

Thanks for the interest @Bezulsqy & @Dollarhyde - our own Bandcamp site & sales will be going live Friday 12th (will give the heads up here once again)... wanted to give the retail guys fair crack o' the whip first - and obviously it makes sense buying from Two Headed Dog for the guys in the States, as we're UK based, so there might be shipping savings there :)

Oh, and the retail versions come with download card, so you ain't missing out on the digital either.

Just a reminder for those guys & girls who have been wanting to hold off until our official launch day Friday 12th to buy from Bandcamp & support artist & label direct ... we'll have the remainder of the Sodium Party score tapes up for sale tomorrow (approx 50% has gone in pre sales) - described as 'absolutely beautiful' by the Damn Fine Cast (thanks again guys).

The site's not live yet but will give the heads up when it is!

Now just got to finish numbering these beauties...

Hey @Chief

We're a broad church: believers and non believers catered for...

I will say that Steve went back to his score especially for the cassette format, segueing and sequencing to make for an involving, immersive listen, where one track flows into the next like a complete musical suite, which is slightly different to the chopped up tracks digital version. Wanted to make something unique & tangible. ;)

Hear you on the label thing - for me, it was just you can only watch from the sidelines for so long without wanting to dive in and try it yourself - plus, more importantly, 6 months or so back, I found several people making what I thought was great music deserving wider exposure... hope you dudes agree!

I am on holiday for a couple of days in beautiful Lisbon and am now sitting in the sun listening to Sodium Party through the bandcamp app. Love it! Great relaxing listen. When I get home I expect to find the tape in my mailbox.
Very happy to learn about all this new and great stuff from terrific people because of being a member of STBC!
