Rather than continue to hi-jack the original thread, I thought I'd port this over to it's own thread and see if we can scare up some more takers before I send something over to Varese!

The tally so far.........

Varese stopped production of vinyl scores in the 90s and a tonn of stuff only ever got a CD release. Maybe we could start lobbying them to do a CD-to-LP thing too??

It was nice to see them put out a few vinyl titles on RSD, I picked up the Fury 10" myself. And Whiplash seemed to sell pretty quick. Maybe they are getting hip to vinyl again?

Are you really talking about use commercial CD's as source to cut the vinyl? What is the point of that? I can understand that one want a vinyl version from the original source but master a vinyl from the already mastered CD?

No I'm thinking we mean that we want releases that were previously only available on CD to be released on vinyl, but to use the best source for the audio, of course.
