The track ‘L’alba dei morti viventi’ in the AMS Zombi repress is incomplete, missing the first part of the song. I didn’t notice that (since I never played before this version of the soundtrack) until yesterday after reading the Dumaisaudio post. I believe that this defect is affecting all the copies, it’s a strange thing and I will talk with the AMS manager. By the way I have a lot of ideas for a super deluxe new edition….

Suspiria. The original Cinevox LP was pressed with a single cover plus an inner gatefold bag with pictures and the ‘Goblin DA’ pop up. The AMS first repress had a gatefold sleeve with the pop up plus a single inner sleeve with the pictures and it was a limited edition.

Tenebre: the poster was limited to the first 300 copies of the AMS reissue. The title of a track is (wrongly) changed on the label, find which is!

So this error is only on the recent repress. I compared this repress to my Dagored version and they sounded the same to my ears. I wouldn't hold out on them issuing replacements, so I'll probably just sell this new repress version since it's got this error. Thanks for the info.

"Amo non amo" (I love you I love you not), the Italian drama film directed by Armenia Balducci in 1979, was an ambitious work at the time, with an exceptional ‘imported’ cast, including Jaqueline Bisset, Maximillian Schell and Terence Stamp . The copies of the films distributed overseas were accompanied by the orchestral score written by Burt Bacharach, while the original soundtrack was composed, unexpectedly, by Goblin.
The compositions of "Amo non amo" are varied, alternating melancholy and intimate pieces with hard rock and funky songs, but retaining the unmistakable ‘Goblin touch’ thanks to the presence of the classic Claudio Simonetti, Fabio Pignatelli, Agostino Marangolo, assisted by talented Carlo Pennisi (formerly of Flea, Etna, Libra and then in New Perigeo) on guitar and Antonio Marangolo’s saxophone, a regular collaborator of the band.
This edition edited by AMS Records sees the “Amo non amo” OST published in its entirety on vinyl. Among the ‘new’ pieces, in addition to the film version of the main issues, we have a short but wonderful "Amo non amo (alternate tensive film version)" and "Amo non amo (‘Notte’ alternate mix)": the latter is an entirely instrumental and remixed version of "Notte", which was originally inserted in "Il fantastico viaggio del Bagarozzo Mark".
To finally make this a unique publication we have a new cover artwork especially made for this release by the Genoese graphic studio Giant's Lab, and exclusive contributions on biographical and record information by two of the greatest experts of the ‘Goblin matter’, Fabio Capuzzo and Roberto Attanasio.

Probably another stupid question but the differences in the Dagored and AMS presses would be?

I know the Dagored covers are not the original issue but how about the vinyl...remastered or not...booted off discs...unauthorized releases?

The consensus seems to be they are done from the CD reissues. Honestly though, they sound very good. I'm keeping my Dagored Zombi and am selling the recent reissue in light of the error in the pressing. I recorded both into my computer and did some A/B listening and they sound the same to me. I'm sure someone will say they hear the difference, but on my KRK studio monitors and listening in headphones, they were close enough for me not to notice.

About "Amo Non Amo" I am pretty sure that isn't remastered, for what I know all the AMS reissues aren't remastered but as @dumais said, they sound good anyway. For more details about this release we will hear @Red Goblin (who is also credited in this reissue). About the issues with Zombi I know that he is still waiting an answer from AMS headquarters.

I also have the Dagored release of Zombi, and will never part with it. The packaging is great, the sleeve protection provided for the record is amazing, heavy duty vinyl, and it sounds damn good.

Deluxe version, strictly limited to 120 numbered copies with different artwork, entirely handmade in silkscreen-printing by the Giants Lab with splattered multicolor vinyl.

The price is high but it is still MUCH less than the price of a Mondo LP + silkscreen bought on Ebay or at 'the black market' ......

Does anyone else have any noise issues with their reissued copy of any of these Goblin LPs? I was very excited to buy the AMS reissue of Buio Omega, but there is so much noise when I play the record. It's like a static, that is always there. It's so annoying, I don't even want to play the record...

I know that vinyl doesn't always sound "perfect", but I have old beat-up records that sound better than this brand-new reissue. Did I get a defect? Or has anyone else experienced this?

You are not alone on the Buio Omega. The copy I bought a while back is crazy noisy. However it's the only AMS release I've had issues with. I have most of their other reissues and they've all been great. Shame about the Buio though.
