It's shit in the case of record buying, knowing that delays occasionaly occur and release date gets often pushed back, but the presale policy on ebay is this :

If you want to sell presale items, be sure to meet all of the following criteria:
Guarantee that the item will be available for postage within 30 days from the purchase date. Be sure to clearly state this information in your listing.
Clearly indicate in the listing that the item is a presale item.
The handling time specified in your listing should reflect the time from the end of the listing until the item is posted to the buyer. Be sure to specify the correct handling time in your listing.

Having these preorders up before even having them on hand worries me in that these folk will stock up on the albums leaving less for us folk to purchase.

I took a try with "Murky Crystal Lake" F13th pre order on soundstage direct.com But I had the $$ to spend, so I'll give it a try to see how it turns out, fingers crossed on the buy!

I know, I'm a traitor, but trust me Waxwork Rec has my business, no worries about that all!

The murky lake version is just the one that's been offered up to retail so there's really nothing fishy going on here, just retailers trying to get preorders before release date very common and shouldn't effect what's available to order on the 26th :)

Has anyone found a pre-order in the UK that isn't stupidly expensive? Amazon have it up for £32.

good luck all, going for the splatter myself while you all race for the blood :)

At least unlike Mondo we probably don't have to worry about the crazy flippers!

yeah, i'll try for the blood-filled, but not too worried about it. my second choice is the murky/blood split. i've about had it with splatter...

That's funny Layne, as I've kinda gotten tired of splits, and have avoided them when able (the last two OWS releases). That being said, the Surf Nazis release looks rad. With several choices though, I think I'll go for the splatter on this one, and of course try for the blood filed one as well. I wish there were some pictures to look at of what they'll look like.

@dumaisaudio - i see what you mean. i got the black SURF NAZIS, so no worries on that one. :) the splatter for me has just kinda become overdone, but the split is really there as well.pretty soon all records will be split or splatter, and everyone will be paying top dollar for the solid colors.

Funny, if I don't get the blood-filled, I've been thinking about the straight murky green with no split or splatter. Seems like that would be the best option to help ensure consistent sound quality and not possibly get a version that had distortion when it goes from color to color.

@layne - Agreed. Some of my favorite releases of the past year or so are neither splatter or splits. Actually, one of the coolest looking records I have is probably Waxwork's Day of the Dead Zombie Flesh variant, very unique and fitting of the release.

Either way, I'm just excited to see F13 released on vinyl in full.

yeah, i know what you mean about sound, i just love the look of it. yeah its about the music, but i'm a packaging and design nut as much as anything, and the splatters just look so good to me, i don't know why i just find them very attractive.

Same here. I love a good sounding record. But as a graphic designer packaging and presentation is important to me as well.

Luckily, Modern-Vinyl haven't tweeted about the drop yet today, so that may help with the flippers. Their tweet last night didn't have the drop time mentioned.
