I will keep one and will trade the other here.

I had the blood filled my cart, and when I paid via PayPal it said I purchased a murky green which I already purchased and I know for a fact I bought the blood filled version. This isn't me pulling a fast one on waxwork but I paid for this and my invoice says the murky green which I alreasy paid for at soundstagedirect.com. I would like waxwork to work with me on this. Something is very messed up of I g r the wrong purchase which I know I chose.

From the calm and praise worthy drop of Creepshow to the 'meteor' shit storm of F13
Why was one so good and the other so all over the place. Because F13 is a more mainstream title.
But ultimately creepshow was praised because WW never released quantity numbers of the variants pressed. Perhaps the fatal mistake was letting onto the fact there was only 100 copies of the blood filled. Even though blood filled sounds cool would so many have still gone for it - as alot were just attracted to the idea of it being super limited...
But then again if they hadnt indicated there were so little of them and it sold out in 0.5 seconds flat as 100 fast connections hit it simultaneously, then they still would have had a vast outcry of 'how the fuck did it sell out so fast!'
Press more would seem to be a great comeback - even 500 would make it quite limited - but im sure that cost and making process came into it greatly

A lottery has been suggested quite a few times similar to mondo - but they are bashed quite frequently themselves so you cant win there. I myself have had 6 blacks in a row - im still waiting on my JP and im not crossing my fingers for the variant there either. Even with Surf Nazis which i havent received yet - I doubt ill get the illustrous 200 blood in the water
But life goes on...

For me subs work best and i back that the most - i work hard and am happy to guarantee myself the rarer stuff with DW and OWS. But i know many work on a tight budget month to month and that is hard work for them

Personally, i think another great idea would have been to offer a link on here for the blood variants to this forum only. We wouldnt argue, though many would still miss out, prob me included since my connection throughly failed on me. But at least it had a higher chance of going to people who care about vinyl. The outside world didnt even have to know about it. Unfair to many others outside of this gorum - yes. But life is unfair. People get perks in different places. This would have just been one of them

Anyway my 2 cents. It went the way it went. Im happy i got a copy that was a little bit exclusive, and even waiting up til midnight they were all gone other than the standard by 7am UK time when i woke up. So it was worth the effort..

Oh, it is over, finally. I missed everything, but thats ok. I preordered from Norman Recs days ago. First I was so excited getting one of those limited stuff, but when I realised how many people were after them I said to myself "ok, you are not going to get one".

DW's Back to black was a fine move that I really appreciate. Deluxe and standard subscriptions are nice. Mondo's random inserts are ok with me. I am ok with WW policy, as long as I have the chance to get at least one copy, limited stuff is cool but it is not necessary, music first!

Had to crash, lasted until 11:40pm kinda felt the drop would be around midnight, but that was me for the day! My wife stays up for me though (what a star) and manages to get me a splatter and a split, sweet. No blood, bit gutted of course but actually after reading a post on here wouldn't really feel that safe playing it over and over - sure it wouldn't come with cover (hey who am I foolin'? ). Real glad some of you on here got the blood, and the eBay sellers should have their orders stopped by waxwork. Name and shame! So, I will have a copy to sell or trade on here probably a split or maybe even a splatter, if I ever get to see what I've just bought or if they actually exist yet! Overall a good experience. Must say I could do without seeing the cover of F13 for a bit on my laptop.
Next time a limited edition just for STBC would be a nice touch.

The only way to keep flippers at bay and sites from crashing is doing what WW did with Re-animator: insert the super rare variant randomly in the orders. That way everyone has the same fair chance to get one. Personally I'm a bit bummed that WW finally dropped F13 at such a shitty time. When they tried to launch the first two times they were very respectable towards us europeans and tried to launch at a time that would suit most customers. So I wonder why they the third time around basically paid no attention to this. I am sure flippers and the good people on this forum managed to stay awake but many of us others did not really have a chance. Anyways, congrats to those who managed to stay up and snag what they needed (flippers excluded).

@palmat - you're forgetting something. The blood was priced at over twice the other versions. So a random insertion wasn't an option on this particular release. They devised a very cool, very limited version of this score and, for better or worse, that has led to....well, see the above 900x posts!! And they priced the special edition accordingly. I only hope it was priced so crazily because a) it cost them a shit load to produce, and/or b) it's amazing, and worth it! Which begs the question really - is ANY new release single-disc LP worth that much?? Hmmmm....sets a pretty crazy precedent IMHO.

I scored a splatter version (split colour wax sounds like ass in my opinion - you can usually very audibly hear the shift between colours!) though I haven't had a WW confirm yet. So it goes.

Point taken dicosucks... But how would I know the pricing since they did not release any pricing info beforehand. I for one did not have the opportunity to stay up to five in the morning to see the pricing of the variants to make a decision. And now you can only see pricing for the murky green.

Ok this makes at least 5 or 6 of us on here, which makes me feel a little bit better to hat at least whatever is going on here will have to have some resolve.
