Being a bit late to the score/soundtrack game (and loving it that I found all these treasures! Wished I was there sooner) I missed the release of the One Way Static’s The Hills Have Eyes cassette. I had all the special editions except that one (thanks Rasmus for selling me most of the backlog :-) ).
Occasionally one was for sale but for too much money (also have to factor in shipping costs).
In May or June I found one located in the U.K. on e-Bay. I am in the Netherlands so shipping wise it was okay. Unfortunately it never arrived. I gave it 5 weeks to turn up. There was no tracking info, so no idea where it is floating now. At that point the seller was so kind to refund my purchase.
On July 8th I decided to buy one that was listed on Discogs. The price was bothering me less and less… This time with tracking!

I believe it was the first time this seller send anything to Europe and he was interested to see how it would go. He went to the post office to have the package send back to him, because clearly something went wrong. He offered me my money back if I would cancel the order, or a 20% refund if I still wanted it.
Of course I wanted it! And thanks for the refund! In my opinion it wasn’t the sellers fault that the body bag went on some side seeing…
Finally he got the package back, made a new label and on its way it went!

And now I have all OWS cassette releases!

OWS headquarters is or was about an hour by car away from where I live. I find it a bit funny to see where all these releases pop up (there is still one for sale in Australia) and that it took all this to get one to my door.

When located in the Netherlands it is best to avoid ordering from the U.K. unless "signed for" shipping is available.
When regular mail is used, the package wil either be handled by a Dutch section of Royal Mail (Don't know if that's still the case)or some other obscure postal delivery service, a lot gets lost, in my case about 50% or more. (I've lost many items from the U.K., and NONE from any other country in 10+ years and many 100's of Cd's and records) Various message boards on all sorts of topic/collectables have many, many other people reporting similar problems.
When "signed for" shipping is used, the package is handled by TNT and will most likely arrive.

@ Pain_Bubbles
I didn't know you lived in the Netherlands. Nice to see :-)

You are right about those other postal services though... Free market didn't work for that service in the Netherlands...
