Exciting announcement. Always up for expanded Morricone albums. Death Waltz, amazing output this year with still more than a quarter of the year left to go.

Excellent news! Haven't seen this one yet, but will do tonight. Very curious about the score. Keep these giallo releases coming!

Just finished watching La tarantola dal ventre nero. Great giallo. One of the better ones in my opinion. Very beautiful women. I just read three of them are bond girls: Barbara Bouchet (CASINO ROYALE), Claudine Auger (THUNDERBALL) and Barbara Bach (THE SPY WHO LOVED ME).
Now I know what Blastman's comment means :-)

The score didn't convince me at first, but after 20 minutes or so, the free form jazz type of stuff made me very happy.
I noticed during the beginning of the titles that Morricone was the composer and Bruno Nicolai the conductor. Does anyone know how much influence Nicolai had with this score? I am not familiar with how the creative process works when looking at the score. I assume Morricone wrote all the notes for all the instruments and creates all the melodies and what have you and Nicolai would be the 'performer' of it by conducting the musicians. Am I right or do I sound like an idiot now :-)

Anyways, really looking forward to this release.

Oh man, that's a beauty!

I can't wait to hear the bitching once the few that remain after mondocon sell out in seconds...

I have a feeling I am going to get eBay-screwed hard trying to snag one of these...
