I just thoght it might be interesting to see which are your/our most popular Death Waltz releases.

Not the easiest task but here's what I consider my personal top 5 so far:

1. The Fog (for me ultimate horror score)
2. Slumber Party Massacre (so simple, so effective, so good)
3. The Perfume Of The Lady In Black (gets regular spins since dy one)
4. Cannibal Apocalypse (absolute killer, never even heard of the first pressing on Beat so this surprised me)
5. Killer Nun (another pleasant surprise for me, weird and unusual in a good way, can't get enough of stuff like this)

2. Halloween III
3. Zombie Flesh Eaters
4. Angela's Theme (I really want to see more of this Jukebox series)
5. The Perfume Of The Lady In Black

whoo boy....i'll try not to be to0 carpenter heavy. in no particular order

Halloween III (especially the expanded re issue)
Zombi 2 (remastered)
Lizard in a woman's Skin (what a surprise, i loved loved loved this record, one of the few osts i own for a film i've never seen)
The Fog, because what a package and what a score
and a tie between Assault on Precinct 13 and City of the living dead, both fantastic packages and great soundtracks

honorable mention goes to EFNY and POD, NY being my fav carpenter main theme, and POD being woefully underrated.

and on any given day Room 237, AGWHAAN, Forbidden World, and House of the Devil may overtake some of these....this was too hard, i give up.

Tough decisions as DW has such a stellar catalog.

1. Fabio Frizzi - Zombie Flesh Eaters
2. Fabio Frizzi - City of the Living Dead
3. Riz Ortolani - Cannibal Holocaust
4. John Carpenter - The Fog
5. Rob - Maniac

Really wanted to sneak both Lizard in a Woman's Skin and Room 237 in there... and I haven't even listened to all of Killer Nun yet.

No particular order, based on all around release, not just package or music:

Escape From New York
Assault on Precinct 13
Donnie Darko
Halloween 3
Beyond The Black Rainbow

If I was basing it off packaging alone, The Fog would win hands down, but these releases get more repeat listens from me than The Fog.

There was a time I never thought I would ever own most of these five releases on vinyl without selling a kidney.

5. City of the Living Dead
4. The Fog
3. Zombie Flesh Eaters
2. Halloween III
1. Cannibal Holocaust

Favourite overall including packaging etc has to be The Fog (splatter).

In no particular order (though Cannibal Holocaust has been spinning daily for two weeks now!)

- Maniac (haunting with a touch of sadness)
- The Fog (perfect soundtrack to a cold, fall night)
- Escape From New York ("The Duke is A #1 !")
- Cannibal Holocaust (Funky Italian? Yes, please)
- Beyond the Black Rainbow (a beautiful nightmare on wax)

3 - The Raid
4 - Ms. 45

In no order...taking into account ALL of the following factors:

- The music is awesome;
- A hard-to-get/previously not-on-vinyl score;
- Expanded edition;
- Sleeve art and design;
- Sound quality;
- Coolness factor (ie wax colours/extras etc)

BEYOND THE BLACK RAINBOW
LIZARD IN A WOMAN'S SKIN
HALLOWEEN III - EXPANDED
ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13
LIVING DEAD AT THE MANCHESTER MORGUE

...ask tomorrow, it may well be another story ;)

(fuck - and on the DFPodcast I've just said "no more lists"! gahh.)

1. Maniac
2. Beyond The Black Rainbow
3. Assault on Precinct 13
4. Escape From New York
5. The Fog

Honourable mentions for They Live and the Yellow 12" that came out for RSD 2013. that was really good.

packaging wise, the deluxe City of the Living Dead takes some beating. Graham Humphrey's art on that one is just bloody fantastic, and the chunky matte finish sleeve is very pleasing.
