My Goblin EP just arrived (LA area). It has to be signed for so I'm lucky someone was at home or I wouldn't have got it until tomorrow.

For some reason I had it in my head that it was a 7" so had no idea what this package was. Very nice 12" though, listening to it now.

Got mine too (in Texas)! I figured when I posted my question last night that it would arrive today. Had to give it that little nudge! Great artwork ... heading to listen to it now!

@deathwaltz - any chance when you say online say, you mean LITA will have some too? Or will these tapes be exclusive to the DW website? Not that big of a deal - just curious. I'd like to order all the tapes AND the Goblin EP all at the same time if possible...

So, my Goblin record has a slight warp in it. If I get eye level with it when it plays - it looks like a sine wave as it goes around. It causes my needle to skip.

I'm new at this whole vinyl thing - is there anything I can do to get it to play properly, or is the record no good and I need to ask for a replacement?

Thanks for any advice.

Just email DW and I'm sure they'll take care of it for you.

I saw some orange copies of H2 & H3 vinyl from Beyond Fest online this morning. Are these re-presses that will be available in the online store? Also happy to hear you'll have some cassettes up eventually as well. I have a bit of a Halloween collecting OCD problem and need it all! ;)

For all the USA folks who have received their Goblin EPs from the DW directly: what kind of packaging did your EP(s) come in and were they in good condition? I ordered two and mine came in a thin, cardboard sleeve (sturdier than six pack cardboard, but the same thickness) and were bent to high heaven on two corners right up to the vinyl itself. No bubble wrap or courrigated cardboard inserts to protect the records. Curious to hear others' experiences/perspectives.

Mailer, not the beefiest mailer in the world but a record mailer nonetheless. There was one cardboard insert. Record and sleeve completely undamaged (I only ordered one).

There are better (and pricier) ways of shipping records but this is pretty much standard industry practice. I receive records every week with some sort of ding to the sleeve from shipping, I am resigned to it being part of buying mailorder.

I understand completely about shipping dings, especially internationally, and appreciate that DW is attempting to save its customers money on said shipping. Personally, I've rarely received a package or package damage like this before, but that's why I was curious as to the experiences of others. If I'm honest, the first thing I thought was, "I hope the Sub edutuonsndont come this way."

They could be better, but I haven't received anything too damaged. I could see it happening though - there were pictures of USPS literally killing one of the releases (but I won't get into issues with the USPS now). I seem to remember Spencer putting a feeler out about mailers, and there might not be too many options in the UK as to what is available. I could be complete wrong...

I received a package a couple of weeks ago from a different label. Same type of packaging but the outside was all torn up, tire marks on it, the works. I was fully expecting the record to be in pieces when I opened it but it was mint, even the sleeve.

Forced exposure and some other places put plastic reinforcing corners on the edges of the records in a sort of inner package and then put all that in a larger mailer. This is pretty bombproof but it does cost the sender more. Norman in the UK use a sort of origami double layer mailer thing that is pretty nice too. Even the mondo/amazon type is a bit better than the traditional mailer.

Spencer just Tweeted that AOP13 was going up for sale today (maybe Saturday UK time)! No further word on whether or not LITA will have it up simultaneously.

Yeah, I saw that too. Presume he's talking about the AOP13 cassette, not the vinyl. Any idea? There's no way I'm missing out on the vinyl...

Shucks. Just put on my Goblin ep for first time - and I too have a warped copy. That's the second DW release I've got that's been warped. Are the distributors storing them in an oven?!

It's up on LITA, but the site's down. This isn't selling out though. They won't repeat The Fog. Plus, I believe this is a subscription release.

From the LITA site it looks like AOP13 is limited to 2000 copies and released on 18th November. So yeah, that's definitely not going to sell out any time soon. Looks awesome though.

Arrived in Canada. Packaged in a regular mailer box, one corner of the cover is a little bent but not so much
